My Open Letter to American Law Enforcement seems to be getting around.

JPFO picked it up. So did the Federal Observer. Jackie J. tells me:

Jeff Bennett read your piece on the air last night - and did an OUTSTANDING JOB DOING IT!!! He has given the entire front page of the Federal Observer to your column.

Glad it is getting around. My thanks to Jackie for the heads up. I've heard complaints that it is much too long. (Sigh).

I went to the commentary thread on the JPFO site. Sadly, we are far outnumbered by the former LEOs and people who want to believe that things are better than they are. The level of denial by the commentators on that site is almost comical.

I consider it mandatory reading, and did what little I could to promulgate the information.

It's a good letter Mike and deserves to go viral. I've had experiences with cops that made me wonder whose side are they on. They don't trust the civilians - armed ones even less.

That letter has been posted to most of the message boards I visit. It will also be the featured external article on The Price of Liberty.

There are only two kinds of people:
Those who want to control others, and those who only want to control themselves.

The folks in government, and especially the "law enforcement" types, need to understand that the second sort won't always tolerate the first...

Time's up.

For the record, I don't think it will do much good. I think the majority of LEOs will continue to take the King's gold and drink whatever Kool Aid the authorities set before them.

Nevertheless, I'm spreading MV's Open Letter as far as I can because it is the right thing to do.

Well, if you want to know how Germany happened, or how the USSR happened, or how China happened ... go to the JPFO page and read some of the responses to Mikes letter.

Amazingly pathetic.

Of course, I chalk up some of the LEO responses as defensive fear. Well coppers, if you feel the need to be defensive in the face of the truth ... then you have good reason to be looking over your shoulder and fearful.

One more thing ... stop calling yourselves "sheep dogs". I resent the fact that you think I, or any other freedom lovers, have the need to be herded like sheep by your likes.

Hey Brutus,
You reminded me of this Non Sequitur cartoon:

Shepherd sitting with his back to his flock. One sheep in front of the others says, "OK... On the count of three, we turn carnivorous."

Caption reads: The meek decide it's time to inherit the Earth

That "sheepdog" crap is the height of self-deception and arrogance. Grossman (its author) is a blowhard whose books are masturbatory odes to the self-concept of the uniformed "us" versus the great unwashed "them" (meaning all non LEOs and .mil).

Get 80%+ of coppers (local/state/Fed) to tell you the truth and they will tell you they became LEOs for the benefits.

You can bet they will stick with their gang unless and until the pain of doing so becomes greater than the pain of changing their worldview.

This coming fracas is going to be pretty darned ugly....

To those who seem to be saying there is no hope for cops, they can't or won't change, etc, I would suggest we keep trying. Vitriol directed at a potential adversary will offer them no opportunity for conversion. If given the message that change (not the obama kind of change) is possible, perhaps we can win some over.

We won't get them all, but maybe some. Maybe some in critical positions that can aid our cause. Even a late conversion to our cause is better than an implacable enemy. Will there be casualties when the lead flies? Count on it. And those casualties won't all be on the other side. There are competent and lethal men and women out there.

Let's see if we can get some of them to join or at least to sit out during the conflict, should it come to that.

You are right. It was long. But you said the truth: Those who purport to enforce the law when the law itself is a crime become themselves the criminal.

To my knowledge, Marbury vs. Madison has never been overturned. I leave you with these two quotes to back the argument:

"…Between these alternatives there is no middle ground. The Constitution is either a superior, paramount law, unchangeable by ordinary means, or it is on a level with ordinary legislative acts, and, like other acts, is alterable when the legislature shall please to alter it.
If the former part of the alternative be true, then a legislative act contrary to the Constitution is not law; if the latter part be true, then written Constitutions are absurd attempts on the part of the people to limit a power in its own nature illimitable.

Certainly all those who have framed written Constitutions contemplate them as forming the fundamental and paramount law of the nation, and consequently the theory of every such government must be that an act of the Legislature repugnant to the Constitution is void.

This theory is essentially attached to a written Constitution, and is consequently to be considered by this Court as one of the fundamental principles of our society. It is not, therefore, to be lost sight of in the further consideration of this subject…"

"…The oath of office, too, imposed by the Legislature, is completely demonstrative of the legislative opinion on this subject. It is in these words:

I do solemnly swear that I will administer justice without respect to persons, and do equal right to the poor and to the rich; and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge all the duties incumbent on me as according to the best of my abilities and understanding, agreeably to the Constitution and laws of the United States.

Why does a judge swear to discharge his duties agreeably to the Constitution of the United States if that Constitution forms no rule for his government? if it is closed upon him and cannot be inspected by him?

If such be the real state of things, this is worse than solemn mockery. To prescribe or to take this oath becomes equally a crime.

I read the comments on JPFO as well, but that was expected.

As it should, it's an excellent letter.

"Concerned American said... That "sheepdog" crap is the height of self-deception and arrogance."

Agreed. It's similar to that other mindless slogan of the propagandized witless: 'Lead, follow, or get out of the way.' That doesn't jive with: 'It's a free country; Leave me the hell alone, asshole.'

btw: Regarding dogs; I've had the honor of being friends with five or six who were exceptional beings: brave, honest, intelligent, faithful, and generally fun loving. Strange as it seems, that is about the same number of humans I have met who have demonstrated the same attributes, and I've known a lot more humans. But in general most members of both species are rather prone to being self-absorbed mindless reflex driven automations... arf arf

"vonmazur said... Mike: I have your item here and your cell does not work..."

The fact that you can not identify the operational processes of Mike's cell(s) proves that it(they) is(are) working. Cells are meant to be invisible, working behind the scenes, or under the radar as it were; you know, Security 101, lesson 5a... Good show, Mike; this proves our trust in you is still well placed... right..? wait... vonmazur wasn't talking about the tin foil hat with antenna meant to stimulate Alzheimerized brain cells was he...? Is this why there hasn't been a new Chapter ALL YEAR??

Mike,

I posted it on the Northern & Southern California Oath Keeper forums the other day as well.

Mike,

I posted your letter to my circle, 50+ people. Many responses to the positive. Most don't answer anyway; but, those that do are activists, and will distribute the letter further. It's making the rounds throughout the country, and should be read by most LEOs by the middle of next week.

LEOs claiming to be sheepdogs is a laugh. The only and true sheepdogs I ever knew were wearing grungy olive drab and were at my side in a far off place long ago. The troops in Iraq and Afghanistan can make the claim today; but, certainly not LEOs, and especially not the BATF.

I messed up and posted my comment on the wrong post.

The JPFO page linked a vid that I believe should also be required viewing for every.single.American.Citizen!!

http://eclipptv.com/viewVideo.php?video_id=7086&title=The_Largest_Street_Gang_in_America%20

It's hard to watch, but PLEASE - watch it all, right to the end.

It's important.

I found myself throughout shaking my head as my heart sank and my blood-pressure rose, asking myself over and over "what (expletive-deleted)ing country **IS** this??!!

God help us - and God Save Our Republic!!

Jesus Christ! Who knew taking synthetic testosterone would cause these thugs to be crybabies too?Just came back from JPFO and I gotta admit I felt really bad for all the hurt feelings until I realized that these weren't preteen girls, but were actually the people who tase pre-teen girls, beat them and sometimes fuck them.

Somehow, I just couldn't keep that comforting feeling of identity with a group of mistreated gang members. OOps! Did I let the catshit out of the bag?
