The ORIGINAL gathering place for a merry band of Three Percenters. (As denounced by Bill Clinton on CNN!)
Offer an alternative candidate, or tell us when to meet you on the Green. No? Thats what I thought.
Hit a nerve, huh?
"Hit a nerve"? Sounds like he hit one of yours since you didn't take up the challenge either way. And for the record, I'm not a Trumpkin, either. But I'm sure you're busy making assumptions as you read.
Oh, I see. You are assuming that someone is entitled to my vote. Well, they aren't. So this is me opting out for another turn of the political wheel. Sorry, I thought I made that very clear at the beginning. If you really think a politician, of any stripe, can fix your problems you are in for a very rude awakening.
Matt,Thanks for sticking to your guns despite all the fools who continue to endorse the lesser of two evils just so they can beat Hillary. Anonymous claims that the only two choices are an "alternative candidate" or to "meet you on the Green". Of course when you offer an alternative candidate who actually stands up for the Constitution they will just claim that person is unelectable. They are right about that but refuse to understand that voting for the lesser evil is still voting for evil. If Trump gets elected, the same people will be complaining next election cycle about being stuck with the same old Democrats and Republicans, neither of which represent them. They fails to understand that it is their fault, because all the Republicans have to do is be a tiny bit less evil and we will continue to vote for them. Anyone who fails the simple logic of that situation will remain a slave. Yes, I said it, if you vote for the lesser of evils out of fear of what the other side will do, you are nothing but a SLAVE. As you said, no one is entitled to our vote, they must earn it.Finally, there really is no chance to vote ourselves out of the current situation, at least on a national level. As a military man who has been deployed I'm sure you've heard the old saying that "you're already dead, you just don't know it". There is a scene in Band of Brothers when an Officer is asked how he is so brave and can operate in the terrible stress. He replies with the above statement. The same goes for anyone who thinks we can vote ourselves back into freedom. They just don't realize that freedom is already dead, and until they do they will continue to cling to the nonsense we see above.Matt WilbanksOregon III%
So, your solution is "ignore it all, maybe it'll go away? Thats either childish, or naive. I can't tell. Whether you're involved or not, choices are being made. Sitting on the sidelines and catcalling folks who could be allies seems foolish and shortsighted. But you are a product of the army, and both good AND bad comes from that.
"ignore it all, maybe it'll go away" - I will ignore the kabuki dance of national elections, you bet. You are so far of the mark of your judgments of me based of of a little bitty video. But then talk is cheap, isn't it?First, what, pray tell, have you done other than vote? I stepped up to the plate four times for combat tours of Iraq and Afghanistan. Then I stepped up to the plate again to use this format to continue to train fellow patriots and hammer the fundamental principles of the catechism of the III percent. If you think voting and being ignobly self righteous on a blog is the pinnacle of civic duty, you are intellectually dishonest and lazy to boot. So if you think you have done more than I in the defense of freedom and for the betterment of my fellow American, and therefore have the testicular grounds to judge me, I would love to hear it. Deeds, not words. By all means, wait for your politician to come to save you. Do not let me dissuade you. Just notice how well it has worked for you thus far.
Typical. The pinnacle of patriotic expression is being the King's Man. Stepped up to run this blog? Had it handed to you by a much better man is more like it. Full of yourself, all puffed up by your service, think it makes you better than others. Pathetic. Like thats the only way to contribute. See that all the time. But there's plenty of assholes who've served, and plenty of pompous windbags born to good men. I don't see you being able to fill your old mans shoes, not on any level. You'll do more damage to the movement with your divisive sneering at the opinions of others then Kerodin ever did. It's a shame, because you'll be convinced that you are righteously carrying the torch the whole time. If you are the new face of the Three Percent movement, expect alot of people to be turned off by your attitude. You would do better with the oathkeepers, the way you look down on non-mil people.
Because I did not condescend to your name calling and I do not fit your narcissistic definition of what a patriot should be, therefore I am the doom of the Patriot movement?Yeah, okay pal. I see you are hung up on the military thing. What's funny (and quite telling) is you claim superiority over me for having not served while imagining that I feel superiority over you for having done so. I would like to ask that you point out anywhere that I have professed to be better than anyone, but we both know that it does not exist but in your own sense of inferiority. Your projection is clearly lost on me. If you hide your shame behind your sneer at the men and women that are Oathkeepers, it does not grant you magical powers to be ideological purist. It just means that you are short sighted. But you are right about one thing. I do stand on the shoulders of a better man. And I am so very proud to have been given this opportunity to do so and continue the work.
No matter WHO is running against the Hildabeast, we are not voting our way out of this. There is no politician on the face of this earth who can control or change the laws of economics. The global debt/derivative bubble will eventually burst. Those who have not prepared for it will be running around in tight little circles, emitting high-pitched squeaking noises. Then the real fun will begin. Take a long look at Venezuela. As far as Billary is concerned, the long list of facts and corpses speaks volumes. As far as Mr. Trump is concerned, he lost me years ago when he tried to bribe Mike Tyson's rape victim to drop the charges so he could make millions on his boxing matches. That is called compounding a crime and it is a felony. Evangelist Charles Spurgeon once said: "Of the lesser of two evils, choose neither." I do not have a dog in this fight. Keep Calm and Prep On. Blieb ubrig.

Well, surprise! I'm not the least bit interested in perpetuating this corrupt pile of dog crap we call a political system. If Mr. Trump gets elected, IMHO it will be for one reason alone; it's because the God of all creation wants him there for whatever reason He has in mind. And for the record, considering you and your fellow soldiers fought for a corrupt government in countries that, again IMHO, didn't do a damn thing against us that I can see is not something to pat yourself on the back about. Fine you did four tours. So please explain how we're more free here because of you risking your life for nothing. Yeah, call me a cranky old fart who's absolutely sick of watching our young men and women listening to the cheerleading bullshit of the recruiters and coming home with limbs blown off for absolutely NOTHING.
Trump: I’m with the NRA, ‘We’re Saving Your 2nd Amendment 100 Percent’http://www.breitbart.com/2nd-amendment/2016/07/03/trump-im-with-the-nra-were-saving-your-2nd-amendment-100-percent/
I am more than a little embarrassed that I let a troll hijack the thread. Complete newby mistake, and I shoild know better.Just goes to show you that nothing good comes from blogging after 1 a.m.Panda,You like Trump, I get it. I find it no end of amusement that the same people who rightly berated the DNC for the cult of personality they created for Obama are the same people who have this cult of personality with Trump. Sorry I wont bend a knee to the guy. Talk, as they say, is cheap. As for your anti-military histrionics, I will not be goaded into another poo flinging contest. Enjoy your Independance Day. No seriously, step away from the computer and enjoy the day. You sound like you need it.
Yea Trump!!!Remember, a vote for Trump cancels out a vote for HRC. - Old Greybeard
Reluctant Trump supporter here. Until the Orlando nightclub incident, Trump was saying most everything we've wanted to hear from politicians but hadn't. Then he suddenly shifted to Negotiating Rights Away mode. I thought he was committing political suicide. Hillary even tweeted a welcome to the gun grabbers' club. I was pissed as Hell. I've been waiting for the death of the GOP ever since the Patriot Act was enacted. But why do they have to wait until HRC is their main opponent to commit mass suicide? But, after giving it further thought, while not even Obama can make me vote for McCain, HRC can make me vote for an unknown candidate who makes most of the right noises and hasn't voted my rights away yet (having never been in a position to do so).I'll take a possible friend over a self-declared (and proven by past deeds) foe any day.
Sorry dutchman you are on the wrong side of history on this one.
It is TRUMP or CIVIL WAR. Hillary is anti-gun. And she is a tyrant, make no mistake. Staying home is half a vote for Hillary.
I state to EVERYONE and ANYONE that if Trump can head off or mitigate the social and economic chaos leading to armed civil insurrection that this repugnant filthy Witch Clinton will bring, then damn it I'll vote for him. And I will.
That Hillary and Donald are the least bad that the entire political estblishment can offer as Presidential candidates has to be the most concerning. It is foolish to believe that voting for either can in any way solve the problems that a Constitutional Republic in terminal decline is presently facing. It is likely going to take vermin eradication to make any difference at all.Ma Duce
Only fools will continue to place any amount of trust in the Democrat Republican paradigm. Only fools will continue to elect party politicians thinking one damn thing will change. Media PLAYED you fools, again. Pissed off at rino factor, and refuse to vote Democrat? Well here you go, we will give you a long time new York liberal, progressive tax code loving EVER rifle bans supporting huck sterner, play his hilariously foolish twitter rants on a loop and have him tell you what want to hear while claiming to be a Republican. Indeed, the biggest rino of them all was presented for you all to fawn over like hope and change suckers did over Obama. Donald is a hoax, a big trick, played on a downright stupid till it hurts population that is trained to bow and serve governments purpose. Make America Great Again, ya say? Yeah, sounds like a "Fundamental Transformation", huh? Remember, Trump hyped the "birth certificate scam - when citizenship of his father was the REAL issue. Immigration ya say, of the illegal variety? Yeah, there it is again. Oh and then there is the fact donald pimps privilege as if it means government allowed permission. And you rubes soak it up like gravy - the very things that have you enslaved, you do not know any better than Trump. The 14th amendment you dolls, it all comes back to that....and Trump is on the QRONG side of that equation. He us a big government nanny stater, juuust like Barry, he just thinks he can do it better. And the kicker? The nut punch from the pubbies? Yeah, Ted cruz...the one actually pointing at the constitution itself isn't even himself any more eligible than Barry. Gee, it's almost like whole damn thing was a set up huh?Ummm, because IT IS a set up. Lol@ Gary Johnson. As for a "better option" demanded, well I have to ask....false construct much? See, the founders TOLD us what to do when it gets like this -withhold our permission, our vote....deny our consent. Look rubes, it shouldn't MATTER which PERSON is elected when government ITSELF is confined to Constitutional boundaries and within the stated purpose of its being. Think that though you intellectual lightweights, as you demand something you don't have standing to impose as a premise in the first place. REALEYEREALIZEREALLIES. Trump is a punk, a lying, deceitful punk, which is why he hobnobbed with hillary and bill for many years. The real question to ask is...why are you such a sucker to buy into the Trump Scam more than Bambis bots bought into his moronic idiocy?
“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be "cured" against one's will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.” CS Lewisthese are the options we have. anyone who thinks we will vote ourselves out of the quicksand overnight is fooling themselves. but we CAN stop ourselves from sinking further in, until we can haul ourselves out.
Anon at 12:00, A bit abrasive, but I have to agree with every point. Bottom line is that we end up with the politicians we put up with.Anon at10:43,What side of history am I on? I see only two sides. You either want to be left alone or you want to rule or be ruled. Individual rights vs. the collective good. Free markets vs. state control. Thats's it. It is quite a stretch, but if Trump turns out live up to the hype, great. No one, not you, not me, not anyone deserves blind obedience. Loyalty is earned. He has not earned it from me yet. If he does, great. If not, I will not be the guy to spike the football. We are all in this mess together.I now see what the Trump supporters here see but which I did not. They see the race as a good guy/ bad guy fight. Angels vs. demons. Us vs. them. If you are not 100% with the team you are the enemy. There are no gray areas. There is no stopping to ask important questions. I could not think of a more unAmerican point of view. That is everything that we have complained about with Obama.
I am with you, Matt. I intend to avail myself of the "early voting" option and cast but a single vote. My small, conservative/libertarian voice will surely be drowned out in the coming election so the only vote I intend to cast is for re-election of our current sheriff. She is a retired 2-star AIR FORCE general and she has turned that organization completely around. Any woman who goes beyond Colonel in the USAF has a whole shitload on the ball.Having done my best to keep things on an even keel here, come the Saturday before the election, I intend to "opt out" and go hermit in the Gila National Forest. I found my spot, just above 7,000 ASL. That time of year there will be no one around for miles. I plan to take a small emergency radio but only to monitor the emergency channels. I plan to come down Friday after the great kabuki play is over.
Abrasive? Heck I thought trump supporters liked that? ;) I think you nailed it, we get who we put up with. So why endlessly put up with the same garbage every cycle? It is nonsense. I would point you to something - that people never really asked Obama what fundamental transformation actually IS, from what to what? Likewise, people are refusing to ask trump what "great" is, and for whom. Trump gives up a tell when he champions the Second Amendment on the stump in speeches, but then advocates government control via permission slips AND a clear lack of understanding of how the Second Amendment is applied within and through the courts, especially when it comes to "commerce clause" idiocy. He certainly does not understand privileges and immunities, which shows he does not understand the 14th itself or why it came to be. So much for his "illegal immigration" speeches or any understanding of how to address it - most especially anchor babies. Trump is a fraud who believed in gun rights being government allowed permissions when he championed rifle bans and be believes that today. He just thinks different permissions are to be allowed to some people today that he used to think should be denied everyone. One thing is for certain - Donald Trump is no defender of the Second Amendment, or rights themselves in general, no matter what he is saying on the stump. To him, especially via his support for the progressive tax code, Trump absolutely does not believe in equality - absolutely in the eyes of government. He IS a progressive - by definition. As for the us or them, well, sometimes it is us versus them. Right now, it is those who value and defend rights against those who think rights equal government allowed permissions. Sometimes things are simple, and this is one of those times, it really is that simple.
I tend to doubt Trump for 2 reasons. He has no track record by which to judge him and I think he gets way too much media attention to truly be an outsider. We all saw what the media did to Ron Paul....completely ignored him like he didn't exist. Why does Trump get so much press if we aren't being played? And if the central banksters truly feel threatened by him, it's likely only b/c he is such a wild card and too much of a narcissist to play puppet with any consistency.
I never liked Trump, especially when he further gummed up the gears for Pat Buchanan in the Reform Party in 2000. Never watched even five minutes of his TV show. He comes across as a pompous windbag. BUT! The big thing he has going for him is that we don't KNOW what he will do. We know exactly what any of the other clowns in either wing of our single party "democracy" will do. There is, however, another reason that we should all vote for him in November; even knowing that in voting we lend credence and "encourage the bastards." What's going on is not just about Trump, it's a movement. The hottest round in the elite's arsenal is making us think we are alone in our disdain for our illegitimate masters. The millions who have turned out for Trump at least THINK they voted against the status quo. Of course, we'll never vote our way out of the mess we're in; and Trump won't be allowed to do one-tenth of what he says (If he even really intends to); but I will revise my plan to never vote again in a national election and vote for the Trump MOVEMENT.
