Seems pretty easy to understand to me.

Isn't it something that we live in a time, saddled with a corrupt .gov full of parasites and psychopaths, that we feel compelled to state the obvious fact of being solely responsible for our own actions.

What's scary is the .gov slugs know this reality too, and don't care. They're coming for us. Use this time to prepare and train. Remember Mattis.

Agreed.

Or as I have stated many times and live by:

"I refuse to bear the guilt or suffer punishment for another man's actions, imposed on me by dictatorial, agenda driven legislators or an ignorant and brainwashed public."

Hi Matt and Mike,
I concur!!.... 'AND, Therefore, The concept of "Original Sin," that was committed by Adam And Eve, "Our 'First' Parents," is a Collectivist, Fascist Concept!!!!! It was Adam and Eve that sinned and we as their "children," "Inherit" their sin, according to what they taught us in early Catholic school!!! I'm really glad they didn't commit Murder as that's a hell of a rap to beat!! So as far as I am concerned the Catholic Church can keep their "Original Sin!!!" I can do a pretty good job of committing my own sins without any help from the Church adding to my collection!!!!

You seem confused on the doctrine. We all inherited through our blood the ability and propensity to sin, and (rather obviously) we all do sin pretty much every day. At the judgement, unless saved by the act and faith of the only sinless man, we each will be judged for our own sins. Too bad they will in fact be revealed in all their fullness and will have been plentiful enough. Adam's sin won't be the basis for conviction. Even if it were mentioned that day, it would be lost in the long, long list of my own...

Was going to say the same thing as skybill.....free for now did a nice job of countering....except that before the fall of original sin, man's physical body wasn't supposed to die. After that point though, physical death was a certainty for him and all of subsequent generations of mankind....making skybill's point valid....at least on the physical death count.

Perhaps needlessly inviting more fireworks, I will point out just three things:

1. I see my use of "confused" triggered you - apologies, seriously, that's a bad habit of mine and bad form - but since you got excited and hostile, I'd encourage you to at least read the core of the comment. It says (as should delight you) that you WILL be judged by your own sins (and I could have added "and works too") and not for Adam's sin. I.e. I tried to make a distinction in explaining that original sin is not about you being judged for his sin, but about having the trait of being prone to sin, and that (as you seem to desire) we all will in fact be judged for our OWN sins - that is if we insist on putting ourselves before the white throne for judgment (which is avoidable, I am told).

2. I am not a Catholic, nor a fascist collectivist, but maybe making such assumptions helps you save time reading and lets you jump to dismissing the actual statements I made.

3. I do not maintain a facebook account nor fill online profiles with information about myself (or my family, dogs, eating preferences) for many reasons, conservation of energy and privacy among them, but if you desire to dislike me, a stranger, in addition to assuming I am a fascist, you are free to assume I am also "fearful", a "feminazi", a "rascist", a "government mole" or whatever leaps to mind as the worst attributes I possibly could have - you wouldn't be the first to take an immediate dislike to me, though most who do have a better reason for doing so.

Oops - A fourth: I am a regular visitor here (and have been for a couple years) for the same reasons most are - (i) good info, (ii) sharing with others of like mind ideas about best paths forward in light of the darkening national and global picture on freedom and prosperity, and (iii) the occasional debunking of straw man arguments and corrections of misconceptions. Perhaps you in fact know the "real doctrine" and I am really deluded about it and ignorant of the evil fascist horror behind it. If so, thanks for trying to enlighten me. I meant well in giving what I think is the actual "real doctrine" and the actual hopeful way to deal with the issue it presents.

Best,

FFN

Hi Matt & Mike,
Again I address "FFN" ... I'm not going to "Di-sect" the Document but I will put it into the same category as the one of "Papal Infallibility."......So much "B.S!!" Both documents were contrived by a group of men in "The Church" as a means of "Social Control!!!" I remember in Catholic Grade School the teaching of the infallibility of the Pope as he is suppose to be the "Mouth piece" for the word of Jesus Christ on Earth and he can "Say No Wrong!!!!" So believe it Heathen!!....... until you get old enough to figure out how to "Follow the Money!!" and "Pull back the Curtain!!!!!!"...Thank you Toto!! It's all "Smoke and Mirrors" boyz and girlz!!!!
