Getting under some Horiuchi-wannabe's skin. "That's all very impressive, but if I just take that natural gas line and make this small adjustment, I can blow your ass up."

In linking to the latest purchase requisition for yet more ammunition to supply the federal militarized police constabulary which I believe has no constitutional right to exist, I ironically used the headline, "In the event of civil war, remember to strip the dead of useful items." This was, of course, deliberate, designed to elicit a response from each of the segments of the regular readership of this blog. The first segment is made up of those who are committed to the Three Percent ideal despite any threat of state violence. The second consists of folks who are here exploring, who agree in principle with the ideal but who are not committed. Some of these folks have a distressing tendency to magnify the size and power of the domestic enemies of the Constitution, sometimes to the point of defeatism. The third segment of the audience, albeit numerically tiny by comparison with the others but perhaps most important of all, consists of the enemy and the analysts who serve them. These people have a vested interest in getting that second group to focus on the mighty display of the great and powerful federal leviathan Oz and fervently wish that you will pay no attention to the little illusionist behind the curtain. Their mantra is the Borgian "resistance is futile" and they like defeatism on our side just fine.
The other day I dropped into a local firearms emporium which has long had a cozy informant's sort of relationship with the local ATF (as I can tell you from personal experience). One of the counter help, who had proclaimed from the very beginning of the Fast and Furious scandal that nothing would come of it, chose that moment to say "I told you so" to me. I said that coming from someone who had done exactly jack shit to achieve a different outcome, such talk was merely self-fulfilling prophecy justifying his own inaction. If he wanted to know why Eric Holder evaded justice up to this point, he should look in the mirror. He shut up. I left. Of course the guy had been saying the same things to other customers for years. Who knows what the malignant effects were of his defeatism over time to people who otherwise might have gotten involved? The guy is a walking, talking billboard for "resistance is futile." And who, exactly, does that serve?
That is one reason why, when folks point with alarm to the military armaments race among local police departments to acquire with federal assistance automatic weapons and armored vehicles, I merely take the long view and heartily approve of this transfer of military hardware out into the countryside. If federal misadventures rise to the level of precipitating civil war, arms and ammunition pre-positioned there means that our side can get their hands on them and use them against their tyrannical providers. Think of it as one huge but diffused Fort Ticonderoga, stocked to the palisades with armaments, conveniently placed for use by rebels. In other words, as I have written elsewhere over the years, a Three Percenter doesn't worry excessively about what the enemy is going to do to him, but rather is constantly working out what can be done TO the enemy if HE tries it -- and preferably with the enemy's own resources that he has thoughtlessly provided.
Thus, in true 4th Generation Warfare fashion, every threat becomes an opportunity. It is the equivalent of the Scarecrow pulling back the curtain and commenting to the little man, "You know that's all very impressive, but if I just take that natural gas line and make this small adjustment, I can blow your ass up and this whole place with it. Now, can we calm down and have a rational discussion about liquidating wicked witches?"
But however other readers reacted to my ironic headline, I got at least one response of interest from that important third audience:
"Don't go squirting all over yourself, thinking of killing fellow Americans. ATF or otherwise. One hopes there'd be a sniper aiming at you as you rape the dead."
Hmmm. Apparently my attitude hit a little too close to home for this Lon Horiuchi-wannabe. Of course, anyone who has read even a modicum of my stuff over a short period of time should understand that what I am about is PREVENTING a civil war and not inciting one. The prospect of dead feds on the ground whose ammo pouches can be plundered makes me infinitely sad, because that image represents a fundamental failure of my mission.
I have, of course, had many people hope for my future demise, but it is an interesting choice of terms, though, this "rape the dead" business. How the taking of ammunition from dead minions of a tyrannical federal government who presumably, moments before, were trying to kill me and mine in the service of some bureaucrat's diktat equates to sexual violation is, to say the least, psychologically revealing. I'll leave that analysis to someone more skilled in psychiatry than I am, but I would refer the writer to Sam Fuller and Sergeant "Iron Mike" Zack on the practical utility of supplying yourself out of dead men's ammunition pouches.
The interesting thing is that the prospect of federally-provoked civil war -- with all the horror and evil that it would represent -- seems to upset the writer less than the image of dead federal corpses being looted for ammunition that they would be past caring about. "Another country heard from," for sure.
Iron Mike: "See if there's any ammo on those guys."
Short Round: "I know, 'thirty caliber.' . . . No bullets. All swiped by enemy."

Resistance is not futile. Bunkerville proved that. The Feds were ready to gas and arrest all the protestors (men, women and children), the only reason they backed off was 70% of thee protestors were armed. The end result that day was 200+ armed Feds backed off and 300+ head of cattle were set free.

Bullies only bully when they know they will win the fight for sure. They certainly don't like a fair fight or one where the odds are against them.

Mike, thank you, again, for continuing to be the burr under the saddle blanket of these A#%Holes.
And your comment about the convenient spotting of guns and ammo around the country is spot on. Tit for Tat, IMO, is fair game. Why would they have it in the first place? Easy answer. To use against us. So, you can bet the barn when TSHTF, I'll use every bit of anything useful I can find and turn it against any who are still standing.
And to keep this fair, in our warm and fuzzy world, think on this. They want gun registration so that they have info on where to round up arms. Soooo, common sense says these same folks now live next door to someone. How about asking for a list we might use? That is, when it starts, we can take it to their nest and give back a measure of grief they are so willing to inflict on us.
Also consider that these gun control freaks are deadly serious; we can not be less so and hope to survive.
As I've said before, "You don't call Orkin to capture roaches.
God Bless, Mike. I don't have your back, because I'll be at your side. Carry on, Sir!

It seems someone left a burr on your thrown. Certainly, they found the cure for any verbal constipation you may have.

You and friends clearly feel that you must threaten those you disagree with. Mostly trash talk, I know.. Team building for your merry band of pranksters.

But wasted time. The winners of any civil war will be the technologists and technocrats, not those playing militia in the woods. Enjoy your fun while you can.

Reality is a harsh teacher of very hard lessons. One would wish for reason, truth and wisdom but that isn't going to happen. They have seen to it that they have most of the face cards and several shills in the game as well. This is the measure of their commitment to actually seizing, for all time, the power of the people, through the barrel of a gun and the fabricated and intentional lie..

There comes that point at which you realize that the lies and and impositions under those lies will never end. Not until you shut their mouths, for good. it is the only tool they have, other than brute force, to relieve the American people of their freedom, liberties and wealth.

They know this and because nothing thus far has happened to convince them otherwise, they are very secure and confident.

They do understand that once this gets rolling due to an incident like civilian deaths at a Bundy situation, which they cannot control through their media, they can expect very bad things coming their way. They wish to evade this through continued lies, misdirection and misinformation.

It is the lie that keeps them in power. It is the liar who facilitates their acquisition and retention of that power, by making bad equal good and good defined as bad so that their goals may be achieved.

Once the scales are removed from your eyes, you realize that these are wilful shitheads and willing participants and that their ruse of ineptitude and ignorance is only their cover and excuse.

One cannot mistake their expert use of the old play books for anything other than what it is and was designed for use as.

They really are the monsters of old, reborn again and we know where that leads.

Might be a simple posting to you Mike, to me it contains not only the essentials of why resistance is NOT futile, but why resistance, and defiance, is everything...it is upstream of tyranny.

Pal, there will not be any fence sitters when TSHTF. You will either give your all for our country, or be on the receiving end of trash talk from a device that has a one-word vocabulary: BANG!

It is indeed ominous to both read and see the results of the militarization of executive agencies and local PDs. My reaction, and that of those who I know and know of look upon it with a slightly different perspective. That is, “Hmm, now isn’t that convenient.”

To those who would mock our intent by telling us it is futile I say this, "We having nothing to lose but our lives. And without liberty and freedom, what kind of life is it anyway?"

And as the song states: 'Freedom is just another word for, nothing left to lose.'

Good luck to you and your band of rebels. You will need it.
I, for one, am not, and won't be, on the fence.

@Anonymous: "They certainly don't like a fair fight or one where the odds are against them."

No one does. That's the whole point of tactics - to ensure that the fight is always slanted in your favor.

anon at 3:31, judging by you're comments you'll ether be hiding under a rock somewhere or laying very still collecting a lot of flies. I am sure you won't be fence sitting since that will not be an option!

Anonymous @3:31 PM - then I take it that you plan on being on the 'other' side of the fence? Are you guys really that afraid of a bunch of 'peasants' that you really think we are worthy of being squashed by tanks, blown up by helicopter gun ships or tac air strikes or even nuclear weapons? Seriously, if you think such tactics are merited against American Citizens, you really need to rethink your oath, if you ever took one that is. Period.

Amen about our oath. And I don't recall it coming with an expiration date. Our Republic was founded to be governed by "The consent of the governed."
When those in power ignore their oath of office, lie, cheat, and suppress all voice of reason, We the people will withdraw consent.
How this will be done will be up to those trying to box us in under total control.
And don't forget we outnumber these A#$Holes, and we have many in our ranks who have also drove the tanks, flown the planes, and helmed the ships.
We served America and will do so again before seeing her destroyed. No threat, just a promise.

I hold out great hope that the military will stand down . In the last three weeks the Dear One has been caught killing vets in VA hospitals , rescuing deserters and now chewing gun a solemn D Day events.

All it takes is one gay guy that you think is on your side like Bradley Manning to obey his oath against enemies foreign & DOMESTIC and you lose leaders.

Right on target, Mike.

I'm pretty easygoing these days, but if there is one thing that gets my blood boiling it is the poisonous expression of defeatism. It makes me want to punch the speaker in the mouth.

What defeatism really is, is "misery loves company" mixed with cowardice. Assholes say it is hopeless to fight because they know they personally don't have the courage to fight, and they hope they can hide their shame in a crowd, if they can convince others of the hopelessness.

Cameraman,
Best to you and Semper Fi.
From your perspective, I am on the outside looking in. Fair enough. Question is, 'in to what'?
I don't agree with everything from the president, but I stand with this nation and its constitution. Not just my, nor your, interpretation of it.
What I see here, is a lot of belligerent, foolish talk (treat the President like Mussolini, hanging traitors, hanging journalists, 4th gen warfare: implying assassination of those you disagree with, etc.) that does your arguments no good at all.
Best to be convincing folks like me, of the importance of your rebel cause.
I agree with you, choose your battles wisely.
