ATF raids '80% complete receiver' manufacturer, looking for 'illegal guns'

It is, of course, entirely possible that the BATFE does have a reasonable suspicion that Cook and EP Armory have violated federal gun laws. Since those laws are unconstitutional abominations, that would still not excuse their actions, but one could argue that such a scenario would be somewhat less arbitrarily vindictive tyranny than bringing the power of the federal government to bear against someone whose only "crime" is making the palladium of liberty more easily accessible to more people.

So they just picked up the customer list and left.

Hmmm. Snagged one of the plastic lowers a few weeks ago from a different vendor - who no longer lists any of the plastic lowers. The vendor mentioned in the article is out of stock on all of the plastic lowers. Just makes one wonder if there is something more afoot than has been said so far? If these are so popular/successful, why would a vendor drop them?

EP also sells "90%" lowers and list a couple of hundred in stock. Don't know if it is a transfer item as I didn't look further but it could be the excuse the ATF needed.

Yup. ATF is on the warpath over the plastic lowers.
