Veterans groups move to end shutdown

On Sunday, a grass-roots-organized Million Vet March is scheduled for the memorial. But it was unclear on Saturday just how many veterans might participate.

I'm at the memorial now. The turnout isn't bad for a rainy Sunday morning. Oathkeepers are here, and plenty of flags I don't recognize. People still coming in.

The Barrycades are down, and there's no police tape or signs to be seen. Sorry, Mike, can't gather trophies here.

I was there later in the AM, and there were a LOT of biker vets and Oathkeepers, and they not only took out the BarryCades, but kept the cops from blocking the honor flight WW2 vets from coming on site. Veterans organizations and Oathkeepers truly did honor their oaths today.
