Actually, this cartoon specifically has a hard-ass flight school in it and an episode devoted to 'Top Gun'. Makes sense for pilots to joke about it.

This beats the SS-style death's head logos that have become way too popular in military & civilian life.

I note that many U.S. WWII aircraft & units sported cartoon characters...either that or pinups, which certainly would be outlawed today.

Okay, so, I've seen WWII bomber nose art featuring Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse. Are you saying those particular airmen flying those planes were queer?
