Scandals, cover-ups, IRS intimidation, spying on the press -- Obama goes all Nixonian on us.

"Certain elements may try to stretch the Watergate burglary beyond what it is." – Nixon Press Secretary Ron Ziegler, 1972, referring to Washington Post reporters Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward.
Gov't obtains wide AP phone records in probe
"The president is aware of what is going on in Southeast Asia. That is not to say that there is anything going on in Southeast Asia." – Ron Ziegler, 1971.
Meanwhile, Jay Carney continues to morph into Baghdad Bob with stories like this appearing in the previously reliable Pravda-on-the-Potomac: "IRS officials in Washington were involved in targeting of conservative groups." Ooopsie! Carney needs to study up on Ron Ziegler.
"This is the operative statement. The others are inoperative." -- Either Ron Ziegler in April 1973 or Jay Carney next week, or, more likely, both.

It's hilarious to watch the very journalists snap about the RIGHT to free press be subject to the interest balancing approach after years and years of them arguing that the RIGHT to keep and bear arms should be subject to that "balancing approach". They are FOOLS and I say again - WE TOLD YOU SO!

Now, on the carney pressed today, it BOGUS to listen to the "it would inappropriate for me (carney) to comment" and the BOGUS claims that its justice or state or IRS instead OR that all of those bodies are "independent". ALL of those entities are PART if the EXECUTIVE BRANCH! The Constitution places ENFORCEMENT of the law in the Executives hands. That the executive forms a cabinet does NOT absolve the executive of what the executive BRANCH does. "Independent" my hind end.

Journalists had better open their eyes. Hopefully this AP scandal will be the item that opens them. We will see.

Instead of Baghdad Bob, Carney reminds me more of Jimmy Olson cub reporter.

The amateur spokesman of the amateur administration.
