Defense Distributed declares 'government monopoly on force' obsolete

The hysteria is not really at all about "undetectable" firearms. It's about uncontrollable firearms, unstoppable firearm ownership, and a citizenry exercising an unalienable right to keep and bear arms--a right that shall not be infringed.

I'm not sure this is even about firearms. I mean come on - a single shot 380 is no more deadly or undetectable than an appropriately designed non metal knife (which have existed for years).

Its the concept that tens of thousands of "citizens" are interested in this in defiance of the government. And as with the original Liberator, the damage isn't so much that inflicted by the firearm itself, but the ideas and attitudes it facilitates.

And the one thing that really terrifies a bloated, incompetent, irresponsible, overreaching government, is being held accountable.

Anon @ 1:46PM - you hit the nail on the head - it has never been about 'gun control' it has ALWAYS been about people control. The mere fact that Free Citizens will act to remain free scares the pants off the hoplophobes and/or liberals of any and all stripes. They have it so firmly implanted in their psyches or DNA or whatever that the mere thought that there are men and women who truly believe in individual rights and freedoms, and consequently less reliance on ;big gummint' that it well nigh does make their pointy little heads explode.

Like the original liberator, it's a pathway to the acquisition of a better weapon from the enemy.
Just remember ... when the government has all the guns and ammunition, the government will be the only place to get guns and ammunition. Logistics, logistics, logistics!

The uproar about guns made with plastic parts from a 3D printer fits with the utter irrationality of the Left. The US has a long history of homemade guns. Many different types of zip guns, pipe guns, and so on, can be made for a couple of dollar in parts -- attempting to outlaw them (with or without added parts from a 3D printer) will almost certainly backfire.

hmmmm, lets see some Welrods, the MK I in 9mm, MK II in .32 ACP and the Sleeve Gun also in .32 ACP. Those silly politicians would really start crapping their diapers then.
