Why, in the name of all that is good, should "Law Enforcement Officers" even NEED training in anything that could be defined as "combat" - much less "CLOSE QUARTER COMBAT"??? I always thought "combat" was the demesne of soldiers and warriors. When was combat added to the duties of police???
I've tried to understand the point if view that LEO s want to go home to their families at the end of the day. I've tried to understand that LEO s need tools to defend themselves from violent and dangerous thugs they are sent to apprehend. I support warrant execution in idea -as means of forcable arrest. However, the word "reasonable" has been so bastardized and LEO has been do insulated from accountability that they really have turned into jackbooted thugs absent even a hint of common sense.
This was a great example why respect for LEO is probably as low as it has ever been. Respect and disrespect are both earned. LEO is earning disrespect.
LEO is being viewed just like gangbangers. Groups of thugs terrorizing innocents. Peers. Sad it is.
I believe that it's only a matter of time now before a lot of Shirley Allen moments start happening. The folks have literally had enough of the long train if abuses and if .gov does not recognize its overstepping ways and back off quuckly, well, no one within it can say they were not warned- repeatedly.
Many are in outright denial. Less admit it openly. A small portion speak openly about it and only a sliver will actually take action in their own defense.
Three was enough before and it will be again. Freemen will always take up arms in the defense if liberty when it is threatened and assaulted enough. Enough is indeed enough.
I will be dollars to turds that the victim family was black. The slpc needs to stop looking at private citizens and start looking at blue city police forces.
