Brave foul-mouthed badass King Rahmeses of Chicago volunteers to start the next civil war, apparently thinking nobody will shoot at him for dreaming it up after the raid parties begin to stack up bodies.
The Pharaoh of Arrogance.
Emanuel to push for state-wide handgun registry I guess he imagines that
a. people will not resist his proposed tyranny, and
b. they won't hold him personally accountable for starting a civil war.
Bad guesses, the both of them. You know, it takes a certain kind of brutal arrogance to assume that you have the right to attack other people's God-given rights to liberty and property. Kind of like that possessed by the guy who dreamed up the Gunwalker Plot. As an amateur historian I would only observe that justice often comes in strange forms and from random directions as dictated by the iron-clad Law of Unintended Consequences.

I can't say I didn't see this coming...
If Obama is re-elected, we can expect to see a full-scale assault on our second amendment rights, and if, God forbid, he succeeds in appointing another Judge to the Supreme Court, America as we know it will be in serious peril ...
This has all the makings of a civil war. Those of us who love this country MUST do everything in our power to make sure Obama isn't re-elected. Failure is just not an option ...
The most important election since 1860 is upon us, not because of Obama, but the people in his inner circle and the masses that will dance to his tune.
Mao caused the youth of China to turn on their own parents because they felt he was being unjustly attacked. In perceived weakness, he held vast power.

Down State Illinois here, This will fly about as high as the most recent anti-gun legislation introduced by a Chicago rep. That particular little bill bans the possession, sale, and manufacturing of .50 cal firearms. The writer justified his desire "because it would help reduce crime." Never mind that there are no documented cases in the state of a .50 being used in the commission of a crime. Never mind that the majority of .50 cals in the state are black powder, and never mind that the gun manufactures in the Rock Island area would suffer. My rep actually introduced legislation last year separating the real Illinois from the socialist cesspool in the north. As soon as my kid finishes High School...I am outta here.
Large wager that no one does anything if it passes. People are very accepting of just about anything the government does. Sure, they may gripe about it, but in the end, they go along.
Wonder how much of Fast and Furious is from his little mind. Then he had to get out of Dodge
To borrow a bit from the earlier thread with Abe in picture.
"They couldn't hit an elephant at this range". - King Rahmses
This falls right in line with Sue Myerscough's 'ruling' that that there is no right to bear arms.....
Here in Illinois, these pukes really think there is no Second Amendment recognition required. None whatsoever.
Pathetic!
"dreamed up the gunwalker plot" gee, I wonder who was in the White House doing the heavy lifting at the time.
If Obama were impeached, convicted, and removed from office today, nothing would change.
Not. A. Thing.
He is being enabled by Congress. Congress is being enabled by an out of control Judiciary.
Do not hold on to the wisp of smoke some hold out that if Obama is defeated that everything will be ok.
Time to get it in our minds...we're not getting out of this without a fight.
Today's "National Emergency Declaration" re: Iran & Oil using the NDAA as justification for source authority just put us on a war footing here in the USA.
The plain language is that the Constitution is null and void. Under this 'declaration' (aka Executive Order) all those protections against tyranny have been put aside....including the mandate of elected office, requirements for those offices, etc.
Every day we get from here on out that is "normal" is a gift from God to get our acts together.
Let's not squander it.
I pretty much agree with Jimmie- this is going to go down without a whimper except in blogs, some print media whiners and coffee shops inside the gun ranges- where the people doing the complaining will gladly sign away their rights to privacy and pay the fees. Then go back to shooting their one box of ammo 'cuz that's all they can afford.
I really hope I am wrong, but this is the 'Rhamses'' land and what he says, goes.
Jimmy the Saint is unfortunately correct.Nothing will be done by Joe citizen of Illinois.I be one,I know my people.
Jimmy,how's Denver??
I must agree with Doc here:
"He is being enabled by Congress. Congress is being enabled by an out of control Judiciary.

Frankly all this talk about Obama's second term being the end of the world as we know sounds like something the NRA would say to raise more money. This shit storm has been brewing for a long while and with the help of both parties of traitors. Get that through your heads!
I actually hope(flame away)that the Obamamessiah is reinstalled because his hubris and subsequent actions under the guise of a "mandate from the people" may be enough to wake up some of the Fudds and other "it can't happen here" folks.
This nation is past the point of redemption by voting our way around the impending crisis.
I say, bring it so we can get to the job of setting things right.
Prepare and Resist!

"Here in Illinois, these pukes really think there is no Second Amendment recognition required. None whatsoever."
And why shouldn't they? I don't see any of them getting voted out of office.) The ones that have been imprisoned don't count.)
Pathetic indeed!
As long as there is a sporting event on TV, beer in the fridge, and food on the table, there will be no civil war.
They know it. We know it.
Ummmmm. . . .
I thought he was the "mayor" (little dictator) of the city of Chicago. . . not the governor (big dictator) of the state.
If his ego isn't the very definition of hubris, I don't know what is.

Time to get those RANGE CARDS filled out and do the early prep work. I think that if the first hundred meet an untimely 'reward' that there might be some puckered backsides in DC.
NORTH CAROLINA IS LOCKING & LOADING!!! THE OLD NORTH GUARD STANDS PREPARED!!!
"Never let a crisis go to waste" ... Even if you have to manufacture one I guess. IL Dems have floated this kind of balloon annually. If Rahm can use this rope-a-dope to draw energy from a push for IL CCW, then he wins. Mordor-on-the-Lake (Chicago) will continue to be the center of the vortex. We host the G8 this spring.
Watch for mass detentions, sound cannons, armored crowd control, perhaps a false flag crisis thrown in for good measure. I believe this AO is becoming the hard-core Progressive Petri dish.
After reading the comments, I have to agree with the majority.
The people of Illinois will roll over w/ a wimper and pay the fees and sign any papers that are placed in front of them.
Shame, the shame...
I guess III'pers and thier influence left that tyrannous cesspool some time ago. I can't fault them for that.
With that said, I openly welcome to have the people of Illinois prove me wrong on this. Prove me wrong "Fighting Illini!!" Prove me wrong!
This just underscores how ignorant liberal politicians are. What do they think Gang Bangers are going to register their weapons? I no longer live in Chicago but if I would I would tell Rahm Molon Labe!!!
Cocked, locked and ready to rock!
HammerHead Out!!!
"SECTION 22. RIGHT TO ARMS
Subject only to the police power, the right of the individual citizen to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
I wonder how many IL subjects know their constitution reads this way.
The people of IL already roll over every time they get a FOID card. The ISP already knows who owns firearms in the state; it would be small effort to expand that.
B. Woodman- what Chicago dictates, Illinois does. Their slimy tentacles are spread out all over the state. The only hope for Downstate would be to secede, or for everyone to bail to KY like I did....
Trial Balloon for his former boss?
This is why I won't work in Illinois, try not to travel there (even for layovers and flight changes), and avoid doing business with anyone there.
I'd bet dollars to donuts that it's pukes like Emanuel who will resist true voting reform to insure a more accurate and legal vote. Their continued reelection depends heavily on voter fraud.
mmm... aside from 'the few'... the VERY few...
I dont think he's much to fear!
AMERICA: Land of the Silent 'comatose' Majority.
PROOF: NDAA... and not so much as a Picket Sign! HAH! Mushrooms, man. Americans r mushrooms.
"Subject to the police power" says it all. There IS no right to arms in Illinois. Why anyone would put that poison phrase in a "right to arms" amendment strains credulity.
Is it just me, or am I understanding this correctly. These ruling class tyrants get to use the rule of law to protect themselves and their interests, but you and I, do not. Even further we are classified as extremist domestic terrorists if we in any manner express distrust or protest the hypocrisy of such tyranny.
The double standard here is manifold across the entire sphere of these ruling class jackasses tyranny.
It is time to see how these ruling class idiots like it when they no longer get to live under the protections The US Constitution provides them.
Crustyrusty,
So, it's the tail wagging the dog??

Registration invariably leads to confiscation.
It happened to semi automatic rifles & all handguns here in the UK under an allegedly democratic system, so it's a given that it'll be the same in a Constitutional republic when the lawmakers piss on that Constitution.
@Anonymous: "Jimmy,how's Denver??"
Dead this time of year. Even still, there are always at least a few things to do.
""They couldn't hit an elephant at this range". - King Rahmses"
Sorry, LFM; that quote is attributed to General John Sedgwick, a Union general during the Civil War.
"The ass telling the mouth what to speak??"
That, sir, is an excellent way to put it...
So, essentially, the "fee" of $25 for a "certificate of registration" good for 5 years is a tax on the keeping of arms. Non-payment of the "fee" will be considered a felony.
What other enumerated "rights" require a similar "fee"?
Does this not meet the definition of "infringed"?
Just a reminder, the U.S. Constitution does apply to the states.
Veda....your right. This NDAA thing should have had fire trucks screaming up and down the streets with billboards on their sides....hardly a whimper from easy street....not even reported by the "owned"media....What a place!.
And then there's this:
http://www.sj-r.com/top-stories/x1882852686/Quinn-Gun-registry-would-be-uphill-climb-in-Illinois
The best part may be the last paragraph.
"Bomke’s support is contingent on what is defined as an assault weapon. Bomke said most people view assault weapons as guns used only by gang members, but he is worried about vague definitions. Bomke said one definition of assault weapons he has heard is any weapon that can hold three or more rounds at once."
There's the problem, right there, and I don't care who you are! (Sorry, Larry!)
I bet you weren't aware that the Colt 1873 SAA was an assault weapon. Last time I checked six was still more than three. And I suspect that the Fudds are going to be a little more than upset when they find that ALL of the current pump and semi-automatic shotguns will be on that list as will most calibers of the Winchester M70 and Remington 700.
That we've heard little about NDAA or the Enemy Expatriation Act (giving the prez the authority to rescind your U.S. Citzenship)isn't so surprising. Rush gave about 5 minutes to it one day, Alex Jones discusses it sometimes, Hannity discussed it for about an hour as the Senate was crafting it, but in the past few weeks everything's pretty much gone dark on this legislation. Why? I think the talking heads on radio and tv are afraid that they'll be "disappeared" in the middle of night if they talk about it too much, and will languish in gitmo, sequestered from family, attorneys or press for the rest of their lives. A bitter pill to wash down with the Kool Aid...
We keep acting like any one going against Obama has a chance I don't believe they do.
Like Stalin Said or was it Lenin?
It's who counts the votes and I saw enough crap last time to convince me the fix is in.
I fear you may be right, Bloodyspartan--that is, if there even IS an election...
