The more I hear from this moke, the more I believe he was complicit in the Gunwalker Plot.

Calderón Tries to Lock In Tactics Against Mexico Cartels.

Mr. Calderón has toured Mexico and the United States, trumpeting economic gains, the expansion of health care to most Mexicans, and the construction of roads and hundreds of hospitals.

He has remained steadfast in his relationship with the United States, despite obvious friction. While he pushed for the ouster of the previous American ambassador, who had derided Mexican law enforcement and military agencies in diplomatic cables, he declined to criticize the United States over a program known as “Fast and Furious” in which American agents lost track of weapons they had allowed to cross into Mexico, with dozens ending up at crime scenes.

Mr. Calderón said he learned of the program just after meeting with Mr. Obama in Washington, from a newspaper account. It troubled him, he said, but lashing out at the United States would not serve Mexico’s interests.

“If I take the bait and go against President Obama, against the A.T.F.,” the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, “the only thing I’m doing is weakening what I know are true allies and falling into the strategy of those who are really damaging Mexico, such as gun dealers.”

All in all, Mr. Calderón said he made no apologies.

You almost want to ask, "What's Soros paying HIM?"

It was obvious that Phil and Hill and Barry were up to something a couple of years ago when they started running their cockholsters about the IronRiver .

"One change Mr. Calderón has pressed for would give the president wide latitude to declare a state of emergency and suspend constitutional guarantees..."

Project Gunwalker, the crisis-generator of choice among would-be tyrants throughout North America...

More likely to be Soros good friend, Carlos Slim, the wealthiest man in Mexico.

Mike, I have thought the same thing all along. He never ceases calling for more gun control in the U.S. of A.

I wonder which cartel is paying him off.

I've been wondering the same thing for awhile - how much hush money is going to Mexico, and whether it's taxpayer funded.

This feed does a poor job of summarizing Calderon's condemnation of F&F and the politics going on in Mexico.

I would go as far as to say it is a highly inaccurate story. The NYT runs stories to support BHOnehead and his pursuit of a second term.

One of the few MSM papers to touch the story has been the LAT. This is mainly because of the outrage roiling in Mexico and being fed back into the US via the Mexican community there.

Keep in mind that DumBHO's attempt to kiss ass with Mexican reporters led to questions about F&F for which he was totally unprepared. It was his spouting off in response to pointed questions from an audience he thought would be docile that led to those March remarks to the Mexicans that are putting Coward Holder in a political coffin.

Calderon, like all Mexican presidents, can hold office for one term. His interests are not to build power for his successor - he is a lame duck.

Calderon and local US State Department was cut out of loop by DC. Some of the biggest enemies of the Admin will be those they froze out.

According to WaPo, in April 2009, Obama met Calderon in Mexico City, saying he couldn't reinstate the assault weapons ban because there was too much political opposition for that to happen in the near term, but he would push the Senate for an inter-American arms trafficking treaty. He also repeated the 90-percent of all weapons.....etc.
Obama later told the Brady Bunch, "I just want you to know that we are working on it. We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar."
Like Fast and Furious?

I think that your suspicion about Moke Calderon is right on.

Stunning. And does he know that his AG, Marisela Morales, thinks differently?

Here is a link to LA Times piece from Apr 2009 where Calderón repeats the 90% lie. As I recall he addressed our congress and was pushing for gun control in our country.

I think that it is odd because the 90% lie is not substantiated and the president of Mexico would absolutely know that. Most of the arms that the cartels were using were not supplied by the US.

It seems like Mexico must have known about the guns walked. If they were unaware and then found out later via news outlets it would be a VERY BIG DEAL in Mexico since so many people have been killed there. It would be a hostile act from a foreign country. But they don't seem to be very upset about it.

Why do you think our Ambassador was booted out?
