Interesting.

He misses the mark on AQ. They are not bringing various groups from around the world together and intorducing them to each other. AQ acts as a HQ and support group. They finance, plan and train. They bring other groups in to provide the operational assets and tactical resources. They are an open source group.

One great take away from this article is that vengeance is counterproductive. Play smarter, use your resources wisely. At every opportunity let your opponents discredit themselves – and they most assuredly will - and assist them to de-legitimize themselves whenever possible. Mike is doing a great job with his gunwalker articles.

What is occurring in our country today is an accelerated continuation of what has been occurring for the last forty-five years. The population of the U.S. will relearn economics during the next couple of decades and during this time there will be social upheaval. The Marxists know this and are going to use it to their advantage. We need to offer an alternative to the Marxists. Patience and the determination to not lose will be our salvation.

Grenadier1 - correct - the command cells will normally never engage in direct action - they view themselves as 'above the fray' - the 'ground troops' (aka cannon fodder) are any witless dupes they can convince/co-opt into direct actions: ie the 9yr old 'suicide bomber'.
All others besides themselves are considered expendable.

No, vengeance is both proper, righteous and necessary as it happens.

Because there is always someone waiting in the wings to see if they can do a better job of mayhem and theft, and then get away with it.

Vengeance, is the decent person's way of saying, 'you can try it but you will regret it if you do and you have been warned.'

Besides, there's something satisfying about eliminating a scumbag killer, sending him to the most high for judgment!

If your methods be horrible, perhaps that wanna be strongman will think twice and then re-think his re-thoughts. Bloody nasty images tend to do that, which is why they are so effective. I remember what KGB did to moogy family members on certain occasions and the results that followed. I certainly remember what the romanians did to their commie rulers.

Anonymous 2, I'm unclear as to what a "moogy family member" is.

I went to the Urban Dictionary and I'm more confused than I was before. Please clarify your term.

Moogy refers to Mujahedin.

After you've happily slit the throat, of everyone who has ever aggrieved you, do you believe the pool of your enemies has grown smaller? I find a distinction between society executing murderers and assassins killing their opponents. The politics of vendetta are currently being played out by the democrats, so what is your solution, seeking vendetta on them? If that would happen it seems to me that we lose one type of goblin and gain another.

I like where the guy went with his article. But I do think he missed the point that AQ has (with the FEDGOV's help) completely bankrupted the US.

AQ won on that side too. They got the bloody win and the economic win.

They may not be around to see it, but it doesn't change the fact that they won.

If you have multiple enemies, the best strategy is to have them destroy one another. Ergo WW1, WW2, the Cold War, and now the War on Terror. The bankers are the only winners.
