Number 12. Disparaging Education.

Ha! I have great respect for folks with "real" degrees that improve the world. Her kind of education does not.

Dr. Cynthia Boaz is assistant professor of political science at Sonoma State University, where her areas of expertise include quality of democracy, nonviolent struggle, civil resistance and political communication and media. She is also an affiliated scholar at the UNESCO Chair of Philosophy for Peace International Master in Peace, Conflict, and Development Studies at Universitat Jaume I in Castellon, Spain. Additionally, she is an analyst and consultant on nonviolent action, with special emphasis on the Iran and Burma cases. She is vice president of the Metta Center for Nonviolence and on the board of Project Censored and the Media Freedom Foundation. Dr. Boaz is also a contributing writer and adviser to Truthout.org and associate editor of Peace and Change Journal.

Cheers.

That is the biggest waste of my time I have engaged in for awhile. Always amazes me that when the looney left is accusing the Right of something it means that they themselves are engaging in it, my theory holds.

The divide continues to grow deeper and deeper daily.

That such can be written is no surprise - nor (sadly) that it can be published on a site owned by an organization who thinks itself important and relevant.

What's simply STUNNING to me is the howling mob "choir" which inevitably chimes in on "comments" - proceeding to commit every "sin" ascribed to "the other."

I've said it before - but this is a fantastic opportunity to illustrate: Go read the "comments" at the linked article -- read as many of them as you can stomach.

Then come back here and tell me how it can ever be possible for us to restore Our Founders' Republic.

I find myself hearkening back to that great philosopher Dr. Seuss: "This mess is so big, so great and so tall!
There's No Way to fix it - theres NO WAY AT ALL!

God help us - and God Save Our Republic!

"Panic mongering".

Oh, so not like Chucky "Cheese" Schumer talking about the debt ceiling? Complete with it's own "not a conspiracy theory" conspiracy theory about how it's the evil GOP trying to crash the economy on purpose, no less.

"IF WE DON'T RAISE THE DEBT CEILING, PLANES WILL FALL OUT OF THE SKY! TOYOTA IS GOING TO STOP MAKING THE PRIUS!"

Truly hilarious moments:

A common logical fallacy with populism bias when used by the right is that accused "elitists" are almost always liberals - a category of political actors who, by definition, advocate for non-elite groups.

You don't get honored by history when you beat up your opponent: look at Martin Luther King Jr., Robert Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln.

Money shots, both of them. Bolded parts are just the slightly more over-the-top bits of hilarity. You don't get honored by history, you just get the whitewash.

Meh, the whole thing just reduces to "if you disagree with me, you are wrong." What's new from the lefty lunatics?

This is completely facile commentary from a blog purporting to be "Al Jazeera" (the Doha-based broadcaster) using a not-so-subtle "h" tacked on to the end of the domain. "Al Jazzerh" are not connected to Al Jazeera English or Arabic in any way.

Al Jazeera (the broadcaster) does not waste airtime antagonizing Fox News as they have a clear global agenda that produces in-depth, thoughtful coverage of issues. Conspiracy theories about conservative media hegemony are best left to the blogosphere.
