For those who say that oath keepers are too few and far between.

Some contradictory anecdotal evidence to the contrary.

A tip of the boonie hat to Jeff.

Sorry, Mike but Oathkeepers are "few and far between" especially in the Emerald City. This exception proves the rule.

Seattle, where during the Mardi Gras riots of 1998, the police were told to stand down when black thugs beat to death white kids, on video tape. Seattle, where former police chief Gil Kerlikowski (now Obama's drug czar) said there was no gang problem as black and Hispanic gangs roam the streets and rob and rape and murder. Seattle, where recently a cop shot a Native American woodcarver as he was minding his own business carving a little piece of wood. Seattle, where agents provocateur incited the WTO riots and then cops went on a rampage beating law abiding citizens.

I lived there for 21 years and saw few men and women as peace officers and plenty of thuggish cop law enforcers.

Yes, Oathkeepers are few and far between in Seattle and most of the outer suburbs, like Everett, Tacoma, Bellevue. Each of the three major western WA counties actually have little window decals of different colored bears to indicate to other LEO's what department they work for. It comes in handy when they speed, drive drunk and cause accidents while off duty.

Look into the 1986 murder of MRS. Pratt by Everett and Snohomish County SWAT. I personally had my ass kicked for handing out citizen handbooks. They arrested me for "jaywalking" and finally we settled prior to trail. Of course they signed the check and claimed my accusations were without merit and unfounded!

Sorry also, but I no longer have any trust in anyone with a badge, that their oath means anything to them, or that the Constitution or my rights and life will prevail over their paychecks and pensions. Hope to be wrong, but daily news and history proves otherwise. From what I see with my own lying eyes is that there are more criminals with badges than without.

KPN3% One man may be able to persuade 2 men. Then 3 men may be able to persuade 10 men. And so on. Regardless of how many bad apples there are the light of one good person may start to drown out the darkness of the many as the men with a mind walk towards the light. Where else would we start if not with one man? The parasites you mention in Seattle are only alive until the host they feed off of dies or until the host remedies the situation by taking the proper actions. Officer Pomper is taking action by going after the minds of men and I am going to assume also that he is putting his neck out there risking reprecussions from those he is trying to expose. To use all the negatives you have stated to prove that there are not any numbers in "Oath Keeper" types just shows me that there are a multitude of mindless filthy beasts. The good thinking man will not be noticed for being lawful. Nor will he be noticed for what thoughts we can't see in his head. A bad man on the other hand is definately noticed by his actions because they show us exactly what he thinks.

I have to agree with Anon ... I know there are some good cops out there but they are as guilty as the guilty for keeping their silence and allowing unethical ... unconstitutional, illegal, and a host of other things to happen to some citizens who get railroaded, lied about, etc.

IT IS WRONG !!!!!! Keep your silence at your own peril also. I have no use for people who talk big and then refuse to put it into action and actually "protect and serve". When it all comes down they will be true to their paycheck and stand the "BLUE LINE".

I expect nothing from any of them .. period!!

Dakota,
As a retired LEO I will not keep silent on what I have seen law enforcement become. The militarism and its emerging roll as revenue generation for liberty leaching politicians is an outrage that justifies the condemnation of all true patriots.

As a former police officer myself, the "us vs them" mentality is far too strong in most departments, large and small. I've worked both, from San Diego PD and CHP to Putnam, CT and Yreka, CA.

I could count on the fingers of one hand the number of officers and deputies I knew who would qualify as oath keepers. There are a few out there, but they aren't standing up and trying to stop the bad ones in their departments.

Many cops start out as decent human beings, but the system turns them against civilians. Unfortunately, more and more thugs are being hired who enjoy their "authoritah". Injusticeeverywhere.com is just the tip of the iceberg. I wish I could believe there are more than a handful of _real_ Oath Keepers, but I know better.

At least in law enforcement. I can't speak for the military. I've been out of the military for forty years.

There may be too few Oath Keepers, but it was a good idea to start the organization and remind as many as possible about the oath they took. It reminded me of the one I took 33 years ago upon my enlistment, and that that oath had no expiration date. It didn't end when my four years were completed and it is effective now. That's why I'm a founding member of Oath Keepers.

And www.Injusticeeverywhere.com could sure use some financial help from anyone that can possibly afford it. His family is about to get evicted a second time in very few months.

The system and it's "managers" don't hire cops because they know and follow the constitution and bill of rights. They hire them to "enforce," "their" law, whatever it is this week.

The oath that an officer takes and what that oath actually means, are two distinctly different things. The officer may believe in defending those laws and principles but the standard politician thinks of the oath as a personal oath of loyalty to the politician and does everything he can to make that the case.

As long as nobody needs a scapegoat or somebody to throw under the bus, or in front of hostile reporters, everything is just hunkydory. As long as a left wing administration is in charge of public safety, the left wing news people will protect the administration, as is the case in most cities and with respect to the federal government. If you are a tradistional, freedom loving American, you are target number one. The left absolutely hates them and will do and say anything to "get" them.

From such situations are a regime's trigger pullers made.

His email is correct as I typed it in the other comment.

I email him and thanked him, and he emailed me back. Nice guy and straight shooter.

That guy is *so* fired once his superiors read that little nugget. Somehow, I don't think the policeman's union will trip over itself in its rush to defend him, either.
