Been wondering that too Mike ... I always knew that FOX had a kind of weird agenda .... but this is weird. Glen Beck is too pro L E to do anything I think.... agenda again. Everybody got one.
I have wondered the same. My deduction is that they are inundated with scandals from this regime on a daily basis. It's almost becoming impossible to follow. I don't go to WND often, but The Blaze doesn't have a 2nd amendment interest for the most part. My bigger fascination is why is CBS all over this while none of the other MSM are? Keep up the good work.
In the end, most of the media are ignoring this due to scandal exhaustion and mis-direction. People eat up every Charly Sheen and Lindsey Lohan drop of slop, but give them red meat showing their own govt. is actively corrupt, criminal, and worthless, and they turn away. Few care or ever will care. A lot like when the excesses of the Nazis were abundantly clear to Germans around 1938, and they went about their business as if all was well. They are well fed, well housed and "feel" secure. Not until the house comes crashing down will they wake up, and too late.
Partly, it's "not invented here" syndrome. WND is a "pay to play" site that charges $30,000 for fake book reviews by paid shills, as part of a "package" of ads.
They are just whores there. If it's not "their" story by one of their house writers, it's not likely to be promoted.
When a government bends towards tyranny, people who recognize the signs are faced with a choice, contest the bending of those agencies and their populations, or pretend not to see, therefore seeking to avoid the attention of the benders.
It always becomes dangerous to be in the crosshairs of those who have power and will use it against you. Personally, against YOU.
I haven't noticed because I quit visiting those sites a long time ago. I don't even pay attention to FAUX news anymore. All I need is Sipsey and it's affiliates.
Back during the "town hall" sessions leading up to the vote on Obamacare Beck and several of the other big names in conservative talk were doing a lot of Second Amendment and "insurrectionist" talk. Beck as I recall did a segment on the real possibility of armed resistance to tyranny.
Within a month or two, he and *all* the other talkers were backpedalling and "clarifying". Beck in particular has seriously muted any talk of armed resistance to tyranny; he seems really gun-shy any more.
My suspicion all along has been that some element of the fedgoons showed up in their offices and read them the riot act. No, they're not ALL owned by the power elite - but they ARE all subject to federal licensing and taxation.
CBS may be off the reservation on this story, ironically enough, because they have such a well established reputation as statist lapdogs. Perhaps whoever sends the heavies out to oh-so-politely ask questions and make veiled references to irregularities in their IRS filings and questions about FCC licenses never thought to send anyone at CBS the memo. Let's face it, none of us out here ever expected a real journalist to be buried in CBS and emerge to grab the scoop, the "Men Who Would be Kings" can be forgiven for committing the same oversight.
Every political hack, their media mutts and sycophant "journalists" from both parties have a vested interest in Disarming the Citizenry.. Soros has lots of money from a thousand different directions to throw around.. Domestic Enemies are crappin in their drawers over their biggest civilian disarmament enforcers meltdown. Its time BATFE, and the rest of the out of control agencies go away for good. Free Americans owe Mike and Dave a huge debt for their efforts in bringing this into the public forum and daylight.
Perhaps it has something to do with a comment I heard while listening to Michael Savage (I rarely listen to the numbskull....but I did happen to catch this gem).
He said something to the effect that the issue of "gun control" was one that he rarely broached on air and indicated that it was a ratings killer.
My guess would be that it would be a ratings killer b/c the issue is so polarizing that it immediately alienates a large portion of your audience and you may lose those listeners for a lifetime.
Now, based on the fact that Savage is supposedly a "conservative".....hosting a "conservative" talk show....I'm betting he may not be pro-2nd A. Meaning he doesn't want to lose listeners when he supports more gun control.
Regular media is the same way....I think they actually believe that the American people think of them as unbiased in their reporting. Typically "liberal" media outlets will not want to cover Gun Walker as it alienates the leftists who believe gun control is the answer.
Anon @7:23 comes closest to the answer: Gun control is a polarizing issue.
WND has bigger fish to fry--the long-form birth certificate cover-up--and opening a different can of worms is undoubtedly viewed by the editors as a distraction from their primary objective.
For much the same reason, Darrell Issa is not going to be brought along with a plea to sanction the ATF by appeals to the Second Amendment. He will have to be made to see that the ATF scandal reflects on the inability of the Republican-led US House of representatives to ensure tax dollars are being spent wisely.
Meme: ATF inflated crime statistics in a bid to win increased agency funding, but we desperately need spending cuts. Where is your sense of fiscal responsibility? I'm shocked, shocked. ;^)
Gun-control is a VERY polarizing issue - as there's essentially NOBODY who thinks it's "just right" as-is.
Pretty much everybody either (a) knows the truth and thinks there should be less or (b) buys the party-line and thinks there should be more.
Further, I think it's the same reason Judges never refuse a "restraining-order" -- no matter HOW obviously false and ridiculous it may be. In short, they don't want to be the one who refused if the broad ends up dead or injured.
Likewise this: None of the "big names" want to open themselves up for the sort of accusations that would follow another OKC or the like...
ie: "Glenn Beck is a shill for the NRA, and the blood of 283 CHILDREN is now on his hands!"
Some - like, apparently, Rush - don't care, or are already such a huge target that the relative "damage" is negligible.
For the explanation, I think one need look no further than the sidebar of this website--specifically the "Doctrine of the Three Percent" and "What is a 'Three Percenter.'"
What has long been "STRENG VERBOTEN" is to hold any kind of uncompromising position on anything, especially if it is "extreme." (See in this respect, Rand's essay "Extremism: or the Art of Smearing.")
The faux right glories in the religion of Kompromise uber Alles. For someone to say, "this is the line, I will not disarm, we will fight" is just NOT allowed.
And such a declaration is also an affront to those profess to love freedom and defend the right to keep and bear arms--knowing (or fearing) that if the time ever comes they will not fight, but instead be rounded up like sheep.
Observe the vitriol reserved for Sipsey Street, even on other gun websites. It's not unlike the right in general must marginalize and smear the Oathkeepers, Ron Paul, Rand Paul, Ayn Rand, etc.
Or notice how any discussion of the principles of nullification and/or (gasp!) secession inevitably draws the screeching parrots' cries of TREASON!! INSURRECTION!! SEDITION!!
Mike and the Threepers have violated the rules. They have taken and extreme position and stated they will not compromise. Mike's accomplishments together with David Codrea CANNOT and MUST NOT be acknowledged.
Heck, even on a formerly interesting gun discussion forum like TheGunCounter, the members are afraid to mention the biggest ATF scandal in years, lest they incur the wrath of the puffy-chester moderator who has been known to hurl smear labels at Mike.
What can one truly expect from Fox and talk radio?

I have wondered that, especially since I sent them all links to your posts on the scandal as well as David's columns.
WTF? Are they ALL owned by the power elite?

Not even WND? I figured they'd be all over it.
Have you considered adding a more extensive share bar to your blog - so that your posts could be more easily shared on Facebook or Twitter?
Bugs me how Center for Public Integrity takes a bow for "breaking" this unfolding story.
You, David and your ATF insiders are the ones who keep holding feet to the fire.
Heya Mike,
I've been wondering that myself, tweeted Glenn Beck several times on it, in fact.

About 0735 CT, 3/9/11 Fox and Friends FINALLY had Gunrunner coverage. I've been one with many of you trying to get the media started.
Maybe now.... We'll see.

PS - Thanks again to Mike and David !

I do have a theory.

I've been e-mailing the Drudge Report"s "Tip Line" daily about "GunWalker". No mention, wonder why?

Just a guess though.
Rush did talk about it a couple days ago.

I'd guess Anon 0723 is as close as it gets.

We will not disarm.
You cannot convince us.
You cannot intimidate us.
You can try to kill us, if you think you can.
But remember, we’ll shoot back .
We are not going away.
We are not backing up another inch.
And there are THREE MILLION OF US.
Your move, Mr. Wannabe Tyrant.
Your move.
