Mike: BY ALL MEANS make a formal complaint of misconduct through your atty. Make yourself so prickly that they elect to just leave you alone. Call me if you want to talk about it.

Mike,
be even more of a thorn in their sides.

And take a freaking break!
It's a holiday weekend, try enjoying it without worrying about everything else for a change.

Time off? Who do you think you are president or something?

Don't let the bastards get you down.

Besides....what evil they do to you is a a good gauge of your success.

That's right, you think you're special? Just cause you're a fancy writer and all, and hobnob with all those police officers and deputies sheriffs?

Well maybe you are but we still need you, and everyone else. It ain't over yet and there's still to much to do. We can rest when we're dead.

And do post that picture please.

Do complaints find their way into the considerations when promotions are being decided on?

By all means take a break, Mike. I would also follow up with formal complaints through an attorney as well. I'd remain a thorn in their side as long as I could.

I agree, as you become more successful, and the movement grows and becomes more of a threat to the status quo, you almost had to expect this to happen in some form or another.

You're a main guy now, and they will try and get to you anyway that they can. This is just one of those ways.

Keep your head up, relax, and some time off. You've earned it.

Then when you come back get to work on a formal compliant through an attorney. Again, let us know how we can send money for your legal defense. I'd be more than happy to help it in just a little way that I can. It might not be much, but it will be all I can afford.
