Obamanoids consider violating the First Amendment to attack the Second Amendment. "U.S. eyes ways to toughen fight against domestic extremists."

"The U.S. Justice Department is considering legal changes to combat what it sees as a rising threat from domestic anti-government extremists, senior officials told Reuters, even as it steps up efforts to stop Islamic State-inspired attacks at home. . . But federal prosecutors tackling domestic extremists still lack an important legal tool they have used extensively in dozens of prosecutions against Islamic State-inspired suspects: a law that prohibits supporting designated terrorist groups.

From the article.
"The U.S. State Department designates international terrorist organizations to which it is illegal to provide "material support." No domestic groups have that designation, helping to create a disparity in charges faced by international extremist suspects compared to domestic ones."

Does that include the groups that the U.S. government gives support to over in the Middle East? I guess not.
At the minimum, tar feathering should be brought back.

They are at first down with five yards to go for a win. What is your defensive strategy?

So they'll look into classifying certain groups "extremist" (III%), ban you from planes and from buying a gun, etc. No trial of course, and little way to appeal the process. Yeah, that won't make more "extremists" like it does overseas or anything.

This link didn't work for me. An apparently similar article can be found at:

John Carlin told Reuters that extremist groups motivated by a range of U.S.-born philosophies present a "clear and present danger".

That range of U.S.-born philosophies includes the philosophies from which the U.S. was born.

Couldn't have a law against super-pacs could we?

Someone once said that is what the Second Amendment is for.

So, the Justice Department has a chief of national security, eh? Is this a new position, or is it one created by the usurper-in-chief?

I have a feeling it's one created about the same time that Janet Napolitano sent the memo stating that the real threat of domestic terrorism came from the SPLC's 'hate' list, not from anyone having to do with the Religion of Peace.

What's amazing to me is that anyone believes ANYTHING this crew of Open Borders Alinskyites has to say.
