Curiouser and curiouser. McCarthy apparently has a sex scandal lurking. . . and the tip off came from none other than the secret political police of the Department of Homeland Security. GOP elitists weep.

Did Someone At DHS Edit The Wikipedia Pages Of Kevin McCarthy And Renee Ellmers?

“It is total confusion — a banana republic,” said Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.), a Boehner ally, as he recounted seeing a handful of House Republicans weeping Thursday over the downfall of McCarthy and the broader discord. “Any plan, anything you anticipate, who knows what’ll happen. People are crying. They don’t have any idea how this will unfold at all.”
Don't cry for me, Argentina.

Sheesh! One would think that with all the spying and espionage going on, that one would learn to either keep one's door open and zipper shut, or not expect to climb too high up the power structure ladder. But hubris always says, "Not Me! I can do ANYTHING! And not get caught."

That is, until they DO get caught, and blackmailed for their temerity.
Ahhh, well, at least it happened to the "Right Person" this time.

Do ya think that's why Boehner is retiring? His FBI file worked it's way to the surface? Democrats trying to create more chaos in the Republican ranks?

Any editing from DHS notwithstanding, Wikipedia is not the place to go for anyone's biography. Truth there can be stretched in any direction with little to no oversight. But considering McCarthy would be similar to the previous Speaker in relation to giving Obama everything including the kitchen sink, I find it strange that exposing him would be an upper-echelon directive.

The DHS spokesthing said they will determine who did it and apply appropriate discipline, I expect someone will be openly excoriated and quietly promoted.
