And all can act very belligerently, hopefully providing some additional safety to selected groups of people (that you favor). Meanwhile a certain fraction of undisciplined of you will no doubt kill or injure a few innocents. Another Law of unintended consequences (of lawlessness).
You're a half-wit, Anon. You'd probably put the Founding Father's on trial and find them guilty too, wouldn't you? Any law which infringes on the liberty of the people is null and void. YOU, nor any of your collectivist buddies, have the authority to pass laws restricting the liberty of another. That you think you do says to me you think you get to tell others what they can or cannot do, and that's absurd.
In this country we have a thing called DUE PROCESS. It is even in the BoR. You might want to try reading it for once. Passing a LAW is NOT due process you statist twit. You want my liberty or my property? Then guess what? I have the right to due process BEFORE you can get your grubby little collectivist claws on them.
The only unintended consequences will be to collectivist hacks such as yourself who send the gestapo to try to confiscate guns/magazines/you-name-it. Those jack-boots who try to take liberty or property WITHOUT due process are NOT innocent by any stretch of the imagination, they made the conscious choice that their paycheck is worth more than MY LIFE and MY LIBERTY.
You're the evil one, anon.
“If you love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams
Any law that does not apply to everyone is no law at all! Just because they wear a uniform, set behind a desk, or say they are protecting us from our self's, gives them special reasons to break or be above laws they enforce against us? I think not. Laws that do not apply to everyone are just the master saying we are slaves, and they are above us. I call B/S, if it does not apply equal to everyone, it is no law! I've never been a criminal until forced to be one by those who think they know more than I. Funny I don't owe anyone, everything I have is paid for and there is a little jingle in the bank. Yet they ran up 18 trillion in debt, pay folks for doing nothing, and like the fact they can put their hand in my pocket anytime they want to pay for their B/S thinking that never pans out. The paper they have on their walls should say, I am educated far above you so do not question me. In truth it means they are educated beyond their intelligence, and you should install ear plugs when around them. Being a criminal ain't that bad after all.
During one of the L.A. riots local gun stores reported citizens in panic mode being told about the mandatory waiting period who responded along the lines of "But that wasn't for me! That was for 'those other people!' "

Mike,
Could you speak to the inherent corruption of the peace officer exemption?
