As I recall the nearest to a criminal use of a Garand was "Get off my lawn" ;-) Add to the total of Garands - almost all of which would end up in the hands of veterans as 'collectibles' - the M-1 Carbines that were also lend-lease item. Of course those can be more easily 'concealed' so obviously we can't have them either.

Typical "win/win" from this administration.
There are more stabbings in Great Britain each day than there are crimes of any sort in the US involving a Garand the entire US in a year.
