1. Eliminate both "absolute" and "qualified immunity" for ALL public officials, not just police and firefighters. If public officials could be personally sued and possibly lose everything they own, they would tend to "behave themselves". 2. Establish and enforce a video "audit trail" for all interactions between public officials and citizens. Equipment malfunction would not be an excuse and would be grounds for immediate and permanent dismissal and loss of pension. A video and audio "audit trail" would tend to keep our "public servants" honest. 3. Make ALL prosecutors subordinate to the grand jury. The grand jury should be able to decide and bring cases on their own, without the prosecutor's influence. We might see more cops held responsible for their (unjustified) murder of citizens. As it stands now, police have a "license to kill" as the "thin blue line" along with a corrupt judicial system protects its own . . .
