"'Smart Gun' Company GDSI Going After Remington/Freedom Group, Then All Of America’s Gun Industry."

Keep in mind as you read this that New Jersey already has laws mandating computer-controlled guns be the only thing on the market in three years, even though everything about the concept of a “smart” gun is faulty.

Now there’s a tech firm called Global Digital Solutions, Inc. that’s come out of nowhere to try to buy all the American gun industry up in order to control it and force RFID chipped, RFID controlled gun control on the US. They’re starting with an unsolicited bid on Remington Outdoors/Freedom Group, which comprises numerous individual firearms manufacturers beyond just Remington.

Now I don't know about this whole, "today Remington, tomorrow the world" conclusion, but I am reminded that even paranoids have real enemies. Why does this story smell like Dr. Evil?

Hey the federales can't stop heroin, cocaine and pot from being smuggled in by the truckload, how in hell would they stop gun smuggling?

ShortTimer said...: Considering GDSI's own advertising materials on their website effectively say "today Remington Outdoors/Freedom Group, tomorrow the world" as their acquisition strategy... it's just taking them at face value.

Remington/Freedom group doesn't have to take their offer, and neither do other companies GDSI lists as "iconic brands" they want to "preserve and enrich"... but they put it out there as their plan.; March 12, 2014 at 9:55 AM

Most of them don't do what they do simply because it makes a living... they do it because it's in their bones and they believe it's necessary. What could be more necessary? Ever ask that question? No one can simply legislate into oblivion a belief of that magnitude. EVER. And *%#@ you if you try!

Just my opinion, as always. One that I will keep.
