Rather than bash this lady for being a New Yorker that deserves what she gets by living in this place; I would rather support her as the one bright light in a dim environment. Why are you bashing the only one in this article that is right???
I agree, neighborhood associations are the worst. When I go house-hunting, I'm not comfortable unless I see a dead car in the street. I don't understand why people would trade liberty for a nice view - and that is a nice view by someone else's standards.
The operative word in this is "might" - if the HOA doesn't know the letter and intent of their own 'rules' - how can they expect the residents to know what they can and can't do? I'd be willing to bet that it was a very limited few (most likely one) who 'complained'.
