Chicago gun ordinance ruled unconstitutional by federal judge

Not that it's much of a victory.

Ruling STAYED! Imagine that. Wide open for a litany of regulation to come forth to be litigated further as well. Gee, it's almost like they are doing that on purpose to make work for lawyers and judges while at the same time setting up elections....

Interestingly, one huge thing is being overlooked here - well actually two. First is the reality that PURCHASE is acknowledged here as being just as necessary as ammunition in order for exercise to be even possible. That's HUGE because it flatly REJECTS the "commerce clause" format the loyalists claim affords them the ability to control! Understand, THATS why the loyalists fear GUNS so much. It's not about guns. It's about control! Commerce is how they do it! A RIGHT to purchase recognized threatens the very foundation of the controllers path - and they know it.

Second is the shaded acknowledgment that strict scrutiny is required though there is a blatant attempt to create anew a invented NEW level of scrutiny in between strict and intermediate. I liked the admission that Heller DID speak to level of scrutiny but I also point out the attempt to sidestep what Heller ACTUALLY said. "The second amendment is no different." That means that jurisprudence must MATCH first and second- as opposed to allowing something different.

When strict scrutiny is applied - the overwhelming vast majority of gun control "laws" FAIL!

The only thing holding back major leaps forward is the lobbyists trying to protect their bread and butter and politicians trying to keep longstanding campaign talking points.

Right now, folks should exercise their rights freely and responsibly and dare LEO to try and enforce the idiocy. They CANNOT WIN in court anymore when prosecuting the simple exercise OF RIGHTS.

And that my friends is why Mike hasn't been arrested already. They KNOW they cannot win because Mike isn't doing anything wrong - he is just freely exercising a enumerated right.

Buy and sell arms. Gift them. Trade them. Yes even "smuggle" them! He'll carry them and even use them in defense of malicious aggression. Do not fear exercise of your right any longer. For it is the controllers living in fear this day!

When we do it's together- the controllers will run and hide - pretending to have never engaged in trying to usurp our individual liberty.

“Every year Chicago police recover more illegal guns than officers in any city in the country, a factor of lax federal laws as well as lax laws in Illinois and surrounding states related to straw purchasing and the transfer of guns,” the city's statement said.

There are plenty of laws. Failure in enforcement is their problem. Chicago does not have the right to dictate to Indiana, or any other state, what their laws should be.

Mayor Emanuel would be better off relocating to (insert name of collectivist nation here).
