Plan in Vermont is to 'inch forward' on guns in spite of state law

What the Burlington Council is inching toward is indicated by the June 17 minutes of the Charter Change Committee, showing a wish list of controls encompassing semi-auto bans, concealed carry bans, mandatory registration, and an “ordinance for police to seize weapons,” among other edicts they wish to enact.

They can do what they want. Vermonters showed up and not only stopped any ban nonsense after Sandy Hook, they wiped it clean off the legislative docket. This subject is so toxic that the author of the ban bill is being primaried by her fellow demo-rats for stirring up the hornet's nest that pretty much shutdown anything moving forward under the golden dome this year.

Sure, they will be back for more, but the sons of the Green Mountains will be there to shove it right back down their fascist craw.

Maybe the Burlington council should move to New Jersey, instead of trying to swim upstream in a place like Vermont.
