CT Law Requiring ‘Certificate’ to Purchase Ammunition & Magazines Now in Effect

I will be up north within the next month to break this law. And I won't be filling out one of these.

How nice, a psuedo 4473 administered by CT just to buy ammo/mags. Worse than Illinoistan and their vaunted FOID card...

The sad part: We all know it will do positively NOTHING to stop crime/criminals. Example: None of these laws would have prevented Sandy Hook. But just one firearm in the RIGHT hands may have prevented some or all of the carnage. Jeanne Assam proved a 9mm can stop a rifle in Colorado Springs and save countless lives.

When will folks get enough of this illogical crap? Either vote with your feet or fight back any way you can.

Heck, in Illinois you cannot possess even one round of ammunition, much less a firearm without a picture ID called a FOID. You certainly cannot purchase ammo retail anywhere without one. Interesting is it not that instead of fighting THAT permission slip, the NRA is busy HELPING the corrupt government impose the new additional gun control legislation that will cost residents in the area of five hundred bucks if they seek to carry concealed (open carry remains a felony). Non residents gotta add several hundred more too (depending on state "training").

Then, come January if a person is convicted thrice of tossing a cigarette butt out the window of the car you become a prohibited person (also a FELONY).
Think about that a second -
If a person smokes a pack of cigarettes and just tosses them out the window they are a 18time felon who can't vote or own a firearm. Looked another way - even if you now to all the gun control and pay all the hundreds of dollars - it's all gone if you toss a few butts on the ground. Felony loitering. Sheeeeesh.

I'm soooooo glad the NRA is so helpful as to assist Illinois government impose these fiascos upon us. With friends like those .......

That application form makes a 4473 look polite. Quite invasive.

Mike: I was a lobbyist for Vets and Gun Owners in CT. The mystic mainspring behind all of this in CT are Insurance Underwriters. Most of the anti-civilian gun activists were on their payroll. This all started in the 70's with various bills of attainder for the Insurance companies in Hartford...Martin Looney was the chief exponent of this entire idea.

Will they also be introducing poll taxes to prevent voter fraud in Connecticut as well? How about a $25 fee before exercising your free speech rights? Let us not forget a $100 fee to exercise your religious preference? The state will not a religion - all religions will invoke the tax.

Wake up, people. See it for what it is.

Illinois anon:
I generally don't mind substantial fines for petty littering, or misdemeanor charges for grand littering, but if petty littering, 3rd offense is now a felony, then we've got a major problem here.

Can anybody else confirm what anon said?
