20th Anniversary of "Blackhawk Down."

Battle of Mogadishu
Remember this day MSG Gary Gordon and SFC Randy Shughart and all the other operators, pilots and Rangers who died fighting, with inadequate means against overwhelming odds, executing a plan doomed to failure for an administration that didn't give a damn if they lived or died.

20th anniversary of the first open military conflict with Al Qaeda.
Clinton ran from them then and Barry runs WITH them now.
Fundamental transformation alright....

They'd have had more air support with bigger guns and longer loiter time if Clinton had allowed DoD to deploy AC-130 gunships as requested.

Funny (meaning really NOT) how history repeats itself.

Thinking about this event a few days ago and became disgusted by the eventual actions of Durrant during his tenure in congress and concluded that MSG Gordon and SFC Shughart died for naught. Though I hate to imply any dishonor for their memories and the valor of their actions since we frail humans cannot see the future.
For those Valiant Warriors I have only respect and wish that Durrant had shown them the same regard.
