Christie himself is a political undesirable. Don't believe the polls that say he is in the lead for the Republican nomination! That's the democrat-supporting media talking because they think he is the easiest candidate for Hillary to beat. But, if Christie does indeed get the nomination, I'll have to hold my nose and vote for him in the general election anyway, because it will take a vote away from the democrat. (I despise democrats so much I won't capitalize the word.) The Congress we will have then will likely not vote for any gun control, so we won't have to worry about Christie. I don't think the fat boy's heart can stand the rigors of a national campaign anyway unless he loses a ton of weight. Presently, Ted Cruz is my favorite.
Practically everyone owns and wears shoes, yet very few use them to kick anybody, injuring them seriously or killing them. That would be assault with a deadly weapon, a shod foot. We do not regulate the sales and normal usage or usage as a defensive weapon, even by convicted felons, but we do prohibit usage of the shoes as an offensive weapon.
We have sufficient laws regulating the offensive use of weapons whether they be shod feet, sports equipment, kitchen tools, construction tools, firearms, or any other item that can be used as a weapon. Regulating the keeping and bearing of any of these items is a waste of law enforcement and judicial system resources (but do not expect to hear that from AG Eric Holder). Improper usage of these items is what is of concern to society. anything else is an unnecessary distraction.
