My statement that there are no obsolete weapons, only obsolete tactics gets a boost from trends in "high-tech" weapons.

In fact, according to this story, "obsolete" weapons may become the only ones you can count on: New Nanotech Set to Track, Self-Destruct, and GPS Tag Guns Wirelessly.

More NSA DOD CIA BLACK PROPAGANDA. The state of the art in nanotech is AT LEST fifty years away from this. Its another Military PSYOP set to instill paranoia in the "militia", and send the message "we can kill you at will". Before that happens, the 2nd War for Independence begins or massive secession takes place.

Bolt actions, lever actions and revolvers are my weapons of choice. Ain't much can jam on these firearms.

Even if this comes to market, they won't sell worth a damn. If govco forces companies to install this crap, guns will simply be hacked to remove it. If (when) they make that illegal, just as it is illegal to file serial numbers off, the people who matter (III) will simply ignore it and anyone who attempts to arrest someone for it will be shot. Life goes on as normal...

I remember reading a story by a Marine officer about when the M16 was first issued to the Marines in 'Nam before all the bugs were worked out, and him saying he had a dream of leading his unit all the way to Hanoi in victory using 1903 Springfields, as they never jammed like those early, non-improved M16s.
