Remember, people, it would NOT require 67 votes in the Senate to ratify this abomination. From the U.S. Constitution Article II, Section 2 "[The President] shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur;"
Notice the wording of the article. It does not require 2/3rds of the Senators to concur, but merely 2/3rds of the of the Senators PRESENT. HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!!! If Reid sent the Senate home for recess but did not actually put the Senate into recess (something they do all the time to limit recess appointments) and a few Senators hadn't left yet and 2/3rds of THEM voted to ratify, then it would be a fait accompli.
Remember, there are lots of ways to skin a cat and they're all fun. Except to the cat. ;)
My worry about this is not the treaty itself, but the fact that Obama could easily use it as cover to issue Executive Orders. Such orders could ban the importation of ammunition, ammo components, magazines and guns. He needs no Congressional approval - the '68 GCA gives him that authority. All he has to do is say, "In the spirit of this proposed treaty, and to fulfill my promise of doing something about the indiscriminate violence on our streets, I am banning the importation of weapons of war and their deadly ammunition. Folks, we have enough here already, we don't need more on the streets."
Oh, and the resultant furor would drive at least a couple of his scandals off of the front page. It is a win/win situation for him.

His signing will mean nothing. If he signs it and the Senate approves by a 2/3's majority, it means nothing to me, as I will ignore it.
