And here we were worried that we'd have to shoot the things down. Apparently our worries are for naught. Just let them be flown, they'll crash themselves!!
(Was this a case of UAV suicide? Maybe we had a III% UAV that didn't want to be flown by teh po-po.)

Poetic justice.

Skynet strikes again! The UAV decided that the Bearcat was a threat to public order. Lacking weapons, it opted for suicide tactics.

Or: The UAV wanted some 'quality time' with the Bearcat. The Bearcat said no. In desperation, the UAV threw itself at the bearcat. Fortunately, there won't be any little flying bearcats as a result of the collision.

These shenanigans are highlighting the error in the carefully created mystique of law enforcement perfection and superiority.

Meanwhile, UAVs of the personal type, both rotary and fixed wing (jet powered) are making such gains in capability and affordability that I'm sure they will be regulated to death within this year.

A jet powered model that can reach 350 mph and fly several miles out or up creates a vulnerability problem for a great many interested parties.
