From Tim Brown at Freedom Outpost: "July 4th Armed March On DC – Why You SHOULD NOT Go."

”This is an armed revolt against the American government. Make no mistake about it. We are going with the aim of overthrowing the government.” Well, uh, really?

These guys are only going to hurt us by giving clout to those who claim we are nothing but trouble. You can't just go marching into the enemy camp and try to arrest their leader. It's stupid. It's dangerous. It makes true patriots look bad. It won't work anyway.

I kind of have to agree, but maybe not for the exact same reasons. I don't want to tip my hand so overtly visibly until it's time to REALLY start a ruckus against the FedGub.

At the end of the day it isn't enough to be right, you have to appear to be right as well. The Washington D.C. Police will not allow the marchers to enter the city limits so at best the result will be stalemate. At worst it will be a massacre. I'm familiar with Adam Kokesh and I've watched his programs. The man clearly broadcasts while high on marijuana and/or other drugs. Anyone choosing to go into battle with a man who will likely be impaired is a fool. Part of being a Patriot is choosing when and where to make a stand. This is not the time or the place.

Mike, I have great respect and admiration for you. To me you are one of the next founding fathers and I frequently look to your blog for guidance. My question is-what they hell is the solution? Smuggling mags? Sounds like a felony as well. So what is the difference. We need more direct action and less BS in my opinion.

Is this march a good idea? No. Is it a bad idea? No. How they do it will, if they do it will determine the answer to that question but it is at least giving the finger to the man. I am ok with that. I seriously doubt it will actually happen.

I believe this march is really just another psyop technique. Rumor control has it that Kokesh worked in psyops in the military, Don't know if that is true, but if it is then this is a classic example of using the media to create yet more confusion among the ranks. Well played gentlemen.

With all these brave and fearless patriots you'd think we be on better ground but we are losing ground. Why is that? Any call to cross any line is always shouted down due to fear of imprisonment.

Don't you think some of us will do time in the man's jails before all this is over?
So many say they are willing to give their lives for freedom but they fear going to prison? We are ruled by the fear of our government and that is just how they want it.

There once was a call to break windows as an act of protest. That's a good idea? An armed gathering of patriots peaceable assembled marching on the capitol is not? If you're afraid of jail time now then what will you do when the shooting starts?

Is Kokesh a commie? An infiltrator? An agent provocateur? Hell they say the same things about Mike. Did you believe them?

My gut tells me no matter what we do, the media and our enemies will spin it to make us look like crazies. This war will not be fought on the internet but in the hearts and minds of Americans.Like Lippman said- If you cannot control them through force of arms, you must manufacture their consent.

I think the associated hoopla round this march is just an indication of how frustrated people are these days.

We are seriously looking for leadership and direction. A snake without a head is just a worm. when ever someone steps up to lead and we fall on them like a pack of dogs. Good leadership never chews ass in front of the troops because it is bad for morale.

The truth is-We going to have to take some calculated risks in order to win. Fortune favors the bold, who dares wins.

I eagerly await the slings and arrows of discontented trolls to be slung at me. Let the games begin!

I have been hearing people saying for years that this march or something like it should be done. Now that someone has the balls to get it done the same people are saying it is a bad idea.

A tactical principle that goes back at least to the days of Sun Tzu says you do not attack your enemy where he is strongest. Rather you identify where he is weakest. Either Kokesh feels he is wiser than Sun Tzu or he intends to go out in a big way and take a lot of others with him. How is that any different than the psycho mass shooters we've been seeing lately?

Its not that you will be made to look like crazies by the press. This will be one time when the press will be telling the truth. You will indeed wind up in a DC prison with your weapons confiscated. What the Hell good will that do anyone? NONE! The way to fight tyranny with arms is to do it covertly, not as a crowd who will be met at a bridge over the Potomac by many armed police. Then what are you gonna do? You had better know the answer before you march with loaded rifles in Washington, DC. Believe me, none of the DC police will side with you and you will be forced to either peacefully surrender to them or to fire on them. Either way, at best you're in prison with your weapons confiscated. What kind of choice is that for you and your family?

Kokesh is a misguided fool. Captain Parker and his men reacted at Lexington Green, they did not provoke. Kokesh wants to provoke an incident which only ends badly for us any way its sliced.

Imagine hundreds of DC police mobilizing at one end of the bridge while ATF positions itself at the other end. They smirk in anticipation of trapping everyone involved in this march. Imagine their surprise when they get a call on the radio that the march already took place the night before. So that explains all those hundreds of cabs which came over the bridge into DC at 3am!

I'm not saying this is how it's going down, just saying there may be more than meets the eye here.

Personally, I don't think this idea is a good one, but I'm sure some Patriots were not keen on the idea of the Boston Tea Party either. Not every Patriot will be on board with every idea, but I hope to God the III will not stand by and simply watch a massacre take place.

I read a little about Adam Kokesh. He is the only thing wrong with that idea.

You all worry about how the anti gunners will spin things when in reality they will spin any incident in their favor, truth or not. They will never leave you alone. EVER.

You all dont want to tip your hand?

You all want to wait until they come to you? You think that will end well?

Yes this march has the potential to turn into a bloodbath.
Yes it can make people look bad.
But why do you care what a bunch of liberals think of you? I am sure the people closest to you will know why you participated in such an event and they are who matters. Their freedom.

Alot of men throughout history who left their homes to face down tyranny knew that their actions may turn into a blood bath. We remember such men for that.

When its all said and done we will always find a flaw or a reason to not take that step. We will blame it on the plan or futility of effort or how we would be percieved.

Until you decide that a risk is worth the effort you will continue to pound away at your keyboards. Complain about the currently winning sides relentless assaults, you will eat in your dining room and sleep in your bed.

You already know what their end result will be and yet you find a reason to be apathetic.

That method of thought is why tyranny exists.

Your apathy is your own. So instead of lying to yourselves about why you dont want to risk your ass, own your apathy.

Kokesh has already stated many times that if they will not resist if they are not let into the District. Anyone reading these 'exposes' on Adam Kokesh is simply sucking on the bloated teat of a government-backed Tea Party movement that cares more about its hyper-bigoted and high handed opinions than any kind of reason, whatsoever.

I find it obscene that many claim that doing something like this is the right thing to do, yet once someone has the guts to do it, they get thrashed for the idea. We Americans sure can be a bunch of idiots, sometimes.
