Aj, remember what Adm. James Stockdale said about optimists:
...when asked about who died during captivity, he replied:
"Oh, that's easy, the optimists. Oh, they were the ones who said, 'We're going to be out by Christmas.' And Christmas would come, and Christmas would go. Then they'd say, 'We're going to be out by Easter.' And Easter would come, and Easter would go. And then Thanksgiving, and then it would be Christmas again. And they died of a broken heart."
"This is a very important lesson. You must never confuse faith that you will prevail in the end—which you can never afford to lose—with the discipline to confront the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they might be."
While I'll never pretend to understand the interworkings of congress, I find it beyond comprehension that one individual could hold such sway over another. I am referring to the allegation that Boehner told Issa to back off. When ANYONE, (with the occasional exception of my wife) tells me to do something I don't want to do, the first words out of my mouth are, "go pound salt"! I'm being polite here; because usually it is much more vicious and highly suggestive of an un-natural, impossible, sex act! To see others acquiesce to pressure, demands, arm twisting, is beyond my comprehension. What possible threat could make someone follow the dictates of another person, unless that person got the drop on you and you have a .45 aimed at your head? The only other understandable thing would be the first individual was a limp-wrist from jump street. I really don't understand any of this.

Either Issa is one crafty bastard who is giving Holder all the rope he can take, or it is exactly what you said, doing nothing fast, and furious.
He left his balls, or someone took 'em in Davos.
Likely he's as dirty as the rest of em...been told to stand down.
I keep hoping that Issa is gonna spring something big at just the right moment. We probably won't get that lucky. Sigh.

We can't afford to be optimists.
