Kurt Hofmann sees the essential thing about Gunwalker

More than guns: 'Gunwalker' tests very legitimacy of administration's governance

What must not be allowed to be lost in the shuffle here--and the smart money is on "the shuffle" being, much of mass media's wishes notwithstanding, quite significant--is that what is at stake here is vastly larger than "merely" whether or not our own government deliberately facilitated the trafficking of firearms to known criminals who would use them to kill innocent citizens and loyal agents of law and order both in Mexico and the U.S. The enormity of even such an atrocity as that pales in comparison to the question of what would prompt the government to engage in such evil. . .

The point here is that the very legitimacy of a government that would facilitate murder, in order to "justify" (in the view of some) infringements on a right that the Constitution itself demands not be infringed, is horribly compromised. If that government shrinks from its vital duty of repairing that breach of the public's trust, and holding accountable those responsible--no matter how high in the administration--that government loses all claim on the people's loyalty.

Today's hearing had better be the beginning of the process of the government policing itself. If not, we the people must take up that mantle. That's not likely to be pretty.

The problem now is that the media are deliberately keeping the rank an file voter utterly ignorant. In the 1770's the people KNEW FULL WELL what was going on and the majority either supported it (believing that the King's government had the right to do what it did) or did not choose to oppose the existing government. Today the people - besotted on government largess - have no clue what is really going on. Many of the ones who DO know have drunk deeply of the statist kool-aide and actually believe that government is both inherently benevolent AND the solution to all human problems. Those of us who DO know what is happening and OPPOSE it wind up resembling Kevin McCarthy in that iconic scene at the end of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers". Unfortunately the majority are ALREADY asleep and re well along in the process of becoming pod people.

One other essential thing I've sent you in e-mail:
This proves beyond a shadow of a doubt they are willing to murder to advance their agenda.

You will never be able to inform the masses because all they hear are lies and they either fully believe those lies or have stopped listening altogether.

The only remedy is to convince the media to stop lying and they, are never going to do that willingly. Not because they are ignorant, far from it. They are committed and I don't mean to American principles and concepts because clearly, they wouldn't be following their courses of action if they were.

We have to ask the question: What kind of men are these who get 'giddy & excited' over violence and murders that result from their planned escapades?

This is a black stain on our nation and our culture that will not fade or be washed away.
