Will all you posters who have pooh-poohed the war with Islamofascism kindly give me your attention. The war came home to U.S. soil again, this time in Little Rock, AR. The GIs were standing outside a recruiting office, likely taking a smoke break.
A black SUV pulled up and the two unarmed men were both shot by a "brave home-grown representative of the Jihadi death cult" calling himself Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad (his momma named him Carlos Bledsoe).
KATV reports here.
More comment from me on the other side.

Shooter, Victims Identified West LR Shooting
posted 06/01/09 3:17 pm
Little Rock - Authorities have identified the soldier killed in Monday's double-shooting outside a U.S Army recruitment office in west Little Rock.
According to Pulaski County Coroner Garland Camper, 23-year-old William Long of Conway died shortly after being transported to a Little Rock hospital.
Police say the incident occurred around 10:15 a.m. at a U.S. Army Navy Career Center inside the Ashley Square Shopping Center at 9112 North Rodney Parham Road. According to Lt. Terry Hastings with the Little Rock Police Department, two enlisted soldiers standing outside the office were hit when a suspect drove up in a black SUV and began shooting.
At a briefing Monday afternoon, Little Rock police chief Stuart Thomas identified the suspect as Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad, 24, of Little Rock. Thomas says Muhammad also goes by the name Carlos Bledsoe.
Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad/Carlos Bledsoe.
Hastings identified the 2nd wounded soldier as Quinton Ezeagwula, age unknown. He remains at a local hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
Muhammad led police on a brief pursuit towards downtown Little Rock, before being taken into custody in the area of the Interstate 30/630 interchange. Authorities searched the vehicle and found an assault rifle, Hastings said. A bomb squad was called in, as police were concerned about two bags in the vehicle, but no explosives were found, he said.
At the Monday-afternoon briefing, Thomas said investigators believe Muhammad acted alone, and likely carried "political and religious motives." Thomas said the gunman targeted the military but was not believed to be part of a broader scheme.
Muhammad faces one capital murder charge, and 15 counts of terroristic acts.
The FBI (web) has opened an investigation into the incident, said Steven Frazier, spokesman for the agency's Little Rock office. "Based on what we find, we will determine whether there is any federal jurisdiction to prosecute," he said.
According to Army Lt. Col. Thomas F. Artis, Long and Ezeagwula were not recruiters, but part of a recruiting program called "hometown recruiting assistance." Artis says recruiters use soldiers to tell their stories and talk to potential recruits while they are visiting or based back in their home region.
Long and Ezeagwula were just out of basic training, Artis said, and had not been deployed.
MBV: I hope the Army decides to give Long and Ezeagwula each one of these:
Purple Heart.
After all, they didn't get shot in a garden-variety street crime for their wallets. They were casualties of enemy action. It would also be recognition that the War Against the Islamo-fascist death cult is indeed world-wide.
Do you think the media will make as much of this incident as the dead abortionist?
Yeah.
Right.

Some notoriety-seeking gangbangers kill two innocents in a drive-by shooting. Said gangbangers then prove themselves to be loser soldiers, by getting quickly caught by ordinary municipal police officers. I'm sad the innocents died, but in this case the criminal justice system worked.
Did "Carlos Bledsoe" grow up in the Middle East and have innocent family members killed by American soldiers? I'm going purely by stereotypes here, but it doesn't look that way. Therefore, perhaps he's an Islamic jihadist because it's currently fashionable, whereas killing to impress Jodie Foster is not.
I will be watching on the TV news tonight to see if / what is said on this.
Please . . . let me form a gauntlet of family, friends, neighbors to beat this cowardly punk to a pulp. No one will be denied. Everyone will be protected & their identity concealed.
If he (and I use the male gender term loosely) survives, then he can go to trial. If not he can lay in the street until the sanitation workers pick him up & take him to the dump.

Maybe they should get a CIB too, it was a combat operation, an ambush if you will...
SSgt B - I know, you are right, and I have known soem decent ones who were apparently, as you say, too cowed and fearful to speak out about the atrocities of their brethren.
(Congratulation Muhammad, looks like your butt will be getting a good bit of exercise for many long years, all in the name of Allah. Just think, if you'd died in the process, you'd be up there with all those virgins......BT)

"Thomas said Muhammad, previously known as Carlos Bledsoe, would be charged with first-degree murder, plus 15 counts of committing a terroristic act. Thomas said those counts result from the gunfire occurring near other people."
I am just sickened by this!
Beyond that... I am preparing....
Possibly this jailhouse convert was told that he could multiply the damage -- in addition to the murders of individuals -- by using a type of firearm currently being considered for a federal ban. Then he not only kills two soldiers but the full effectiveness of millions of militia members by helping disarm them of weapons of military utility.
Except that ain't gonna happen.
How did the gun laws play into this? We know they helped the killer. They always do. Let me guess: No guns allowed in a federal office, etc.
What a cowardly son of a B!&#%. If he really believed, he would have asked Allah for protection and faced 'em in a square fight, and then our boys would have taught him a lesson.
III, the movement is growing and things like this add more to the ranks everyday.
Although the shooting of the abortion doctor was heavily covered by the UK MSM there's not a peep about the shot soldiers as far as I can tell. This is the real issue to worry about: the lies and distortions - and outright criminality - of the political classes in America.
Muslims individually or collectively do not represent an existential threat to America, whatever their intentions. America is simply too powerful both militarily and economically.
What can, and possibly will, kill America is the cancer from within.
Aside from the religious angle, there's a massive cognitive dissonance issue for these fanatics.
They've been taught that only the righteous (ie. people who live like themselves) will be showered in blessings and wealth. Yet across the sea is a country that *gasp* lets Jews and pagans do what they want! Even *recoil* lets women go around without a bag on their head!
So their reaction is to destroy 'the nation of infidels'.
Oh, and regards the 'small minority of Muslims' bit: I used to think that too. In the days after 9/11, I honestly believed the ringleaders would be ostracized by the greater whole, isolated, and easily picked off.
I no longer believe this. Too many Muslims are too willing to give the jihadists the benefit of the doubt, and are unwilling to push them away. I don't doubt some do it out of fear, but I also think some do it just to 'stick it to the infidels'.
Two comments from the blogger:
Texas Fred: The CIB is for infantrymen only. As these fellows had just completed basic, they were not yet 11 Bravos. My son, though he's done two tours of Iraq and will soon go to a third and has seen plenty of action does not qualify for the CIB because he had a non-infantry MOS. That's the way it is.
Second point, for all you US-imperial-wars-are-the-root-cause-of-all-evil commenters:
I don't allow links in non-praxis comments for the most part because a. I don't have time to evaluate them myself and b. I don't run this blog to recruit for other folk's ideologies. NeoNazis have tried the same thing and they got the same treatment.
Sorry.
Okay - so - my first response is to roll my eyes at so much of the "islamofascist" rhetoric, particularly as if that has anything to do with our military actions anywhere.
As has already been noted, those who express a "peaceful" Islam are those who are the abnormal ones - if in fact it is anything other than a cover. There is no war on islamofascism. But hey, if you want one, let me describe it to you.
We send our men into pretty much every nation on earth. Particularly Turkey, France, England, China, etc. And if we want to really win that war (which, if you're not planning to go to war, why would you not go to win) you're going to be killing a LOT of people.
We can probably do a lot of it with indiscriminate air strikes, but that's expensive and damages infrastructure. Hey! I know! We can fire up the ovens and the showers again. Though I suppose that's not just enough even for this crowd...so maybe we give them a choice. Convert, or go to their deaths. Funny - that sounds familiar...
And, of course, we should really round up everyone here in the U.S. that aligns themselves with Islam, and maybe anyone of arabic descent ... or that looks like they are, and put them in conc ..er.. re-edu ..um.. internment camps. I'm sure we can trust government bureaucrats with the task of sorting out those who are dangerous from those who aren't. After all, look how good they're doing with the definitions on domestic terrorism right?
It has been said in this thread that the idea that someone might be angry with the US because of our military actions is baloney. This despite expert testimony to the contrary by our own intelligence experts. But who needs experts. If you as an american citizen were living in China, and china invaded the US and setup military operations there, how would YOU respond? Would YOU be angry? What if you saw pictures of american citizens who were forming pockets of resistance and had been captured being tortured and abused by Chinese soldiers how would you respond? Come on, don't insult everyone's intelligence by suggesting there's no way that a nation that has been repeatedly bombed by a foreign country for decades is going to develop feelings of resentment towards their aggressor.
This guy never endured all of that. I'm sorry, I can't imagine converting to Islam suddenly creating in someone this kind of response. This guy hated the military long before he converted to Islam. His conversion may have amplified his problems or given him additional impetus, but it could not possibly have been the sole cause of such a stupid act. If he was really a "jihadi" he would've ensured he died in the attempt and taken a lot more people with him.
"Do you think the media will make as much of this incident as the dead abortionist?"
NFW. I didn't see a damned thing on the boob tube last night, and I watched for a couple hours (Fox News, even - no way it was on CBSNBCABCCNNMSNBC).
Evidently, the life of that wretched baby killer is worth far more than the life of that SOLDIER, a GUARDIAN OF AMERICA, that was killed in an act of total senseless madness.
I don't watch the boobtube at all, but I totally understand what Paul is saying.
And these leftist extremists think "waterboarding" is such a bad thing, while they TOTALLY IGNORE the shit that these jihadists have been doing to captured US journalists and many others.
I'll bet that the same pricks who called patriotic Americans "right wing terrorists" would be screaming for the protection of this REAL TERRORIST'S rights.
Ovens, Shamgar?
Let me introduce you to my leetle friend, Mr. Neutron Bomb.
