Winners and losers in the Culture War

I apologize but I have been away from the desk for a few days.  Work and school have been crazy with new schedules and frankly I needed a little mental health break.  Back to the trenches.

Tom Lombardi: Thank you, Sir, for the assist on this one.

As I am sure many of you have heard, the University of Texas hosted an event by the group. "Cocks not Glocks".  Yes, you read that correctly.  The group held a rally, championed as the biggest anti-gun protest of its kind in Texas, to pass out 4,500 dildos.  Why would anyone want to do this?  The concern was that incredulously, a discussion was being held to decriminalize student possession of weapons on the campus. The horror of it was that UT student will still have to leave their plastic male members outside of school zones.  The fact that they brought the phallus's on campus without the permission of the faculty was an irony completely lost on them.  One of the many.

Normally, this is where the pro-liberty groups screw up.  They lay out a passionate defense, filled with facts and vigor and it ends up drowned out in the din of the media.

The Students for Campus Carry turned the whole argument on its ear, joined the protest, and gave this release in response:

Students for Concealed Carry Embraces UT Dildos

AUSTIN, TX - In keeping with the organization's long-held position that individuals should enjoy the same rights on college campuses as virtually everywhere else, Students for Concealed Carry fully endorses the burgeoning movement of Texas college students who wish to openly carry oversized dildos on campus. Brian Bensimon, SCC director for the state of Texas, commented, "If carrying a phallus to class helps you express yourself, go for it. We welcome this demonstration that freedom of speech and concealed carry of handguns can coexist on the same campus."
SCC does recommend, however, that students use their dildos for political or recreational purposes only. Using a dildo as a defensive weapon could classify it as a "club," which, under Texas law, is illegal to carry in public and constitutes a felony if carried into a building on campus. Bensimon added, "Although SCC's opinion shouldn't be taken as legal advice, we feel that Texas students are on pretty solid legal ground as long as they use their dildos only as expressions of free speech or for the manufacturers' intended purpose."
They even gave it a cute little meme:

On a side note, I'm left wondering what happened to the the 4000+ dildos that were not distributed. Some Texas grievance studies major is undoubtedly sitting on a literal mountain of penises.

Some of you may be asking how is this germane to anything related to normal Sipsey Street material or the III% movement?  This is the culture war.  It is the biggest thing that we can be fighting until this whole thing goes hot.  Just like any other war there are winners and losers.  We have been losing this particular war for three generations by letting our enemies do our talking for us.  It has brought us to have whole states and regions surrendered to idiots just like this.  We have been too polite and too busy with our daily lives to pay much attention.  We need to do better, or we stand to lose the next generation and then all proceeding ones to this madness.  The SCC took advantage of guerrilla politics and ripped a victory out of the jaws of defeat.  I salute you.

What makes me wonder (I know it's a secondary matter)
is where did the group get the money to BUY 4,500 dildos?!
Who financed this corruptive action?
"Follow the money" and all...

I did read somewhere that most were donated through various sources. This event had been going on for a while and had support from members of the faculty.

The fact that so many people had their hands on this idea and no one thought it was stupid or ironic in any way tells you a lot about what we are dealing with. And yet these are the guys that are winning.

The biggest battlefront in the culture war is social media.
We should not, cannot, cede this space.
However, we are.
Don't consider FB or Twitter or any social media
as stupid or a waste of time. The SJWs and progs are making effective
use of them. That must be countered.

Girl in the photo:She may as well get a Glock because I think that's all she will get.Just nasty.

I hate to be obvious, but a dildo isn't an actual cock you clueless SJW's.
Kind of redundant and pointless don't you think? Just like the degrees most of these sniveling little sh-ts are going to receive. Should've dispense those dildos where they'd do us all the most good? How about "Dildos for Lesbos".
I know they needed something that would rhyme with cock... but gees. Syntax wise, Heckler & Koch was probably too much of a stretch (No pun intended). I can't help butt thinking (Pun intended), that a good old reliable Glock sure would've come in handy (No pun intended), during the shoot out at the KY Corral in Orlando a few months back.

In either Alabama or Ol' Miss, those things are contraband. Illegal to possess. And not cheap! I know. I checked! They sell them on Amazon!

When originally posted on FB, I was shocked at how many of us were ready to shout down those whose opinion differed from ours.

Many were wanting to abridge the freedom of speech of those they disagree with, at the same time complaining that "they want to curb our rights!"

SCC had the PERFECT response. Defending not only the 2nd, but ALSO the 1st as well. All while making the "Antis" look a bit foolish.

As you said, a big win!

Hi Matt,
Coexxist, eh??? The "crossed 1911 and dildo" looks cute!! 'Just thinkin' of several other "Pieces" that could go there!! The "AR," the "AK," the "Mosin Nagant" for starters... Yes we have another "Lost Generation!!" Reminds me of "The 60's" all the rhetoric "NO MORE WAR!!!" "War is unhealthy for children and other living things!!" "Give PEACE a Chance!!" .....History repeating itself!!! I too was one of those caught up in "the 60's" however like Mike's "Herr Doktor" who prodded Mike with Books that transformed him, I to had a "Herr Doktor' in my life....Have to tell ya' over a beer sometime!! I know many of us from the 60's got transformed and I hope some of these "newbies" do too... we shall see.... 'Have ta' say,"We all have to go thru our "Doubting Thomas" Phase!! It's staying there that's the clincher!!
Got Gunz............OUTLAW!!!!!,

That "oversized dildo" looks a lot smaller than what I carry concealed.

Two points.

1) If their argument is about the law that dildos are illegal (to have out in the open) while handguns are now legal (if concealed)it fails as an argument. Under the laws (as I have read them, note I am not a lawyer) both handguns and dildos are illegal if "brandished" in the open and both are legal if concealed. There is no logic to their argument that firearms are now legal while dildoes are not.

2) Side point to the first picture in the article. Does the gal in the black T-shirt and black skirt realise that the wording on her shirt could constitute advertising for prostitution (probably illegal). The first and third lines state sex acts while the second line states a gratuity / payment (item of value for the sex, i.e. shoes).

Just my 2 cents.

Great sense of humor while having the ability to get a point across by SCC..But now, after looking at the kids carrying dildos I must go back to thanking God for never having kids...

When this sweet little snowflake is getting gang raped by Somalis and Syrian refugees and begs for help, I'll throw her a dildo (if I happen to have one handy), otherwise, "sucks to be you, sister."

Why were you shocked, Stones? So-called "Conservatives" are generally quick to advocate the abridgment of the rights of anyone who doesn't agree with their brand of god, their morals, or their world view.

It's really sad that they don't see the value in ignoring the actions of other's provided those actions don't infringe upon the natural, negative rights of anyone else. But that's largely what's wrong with America....both sides, left AND right, want to tell others how to live.

Make the title "Whiners and Losers", and you'd hit the mark.

Bet that young lady makes her momma proud... probably passing that picture around the bridge club.

I wasn't shocked that "conservatives" would advocate for abridging rights as a knee jerk reaction. I'm shocked "threepers" commenting on the Sipsey Street FB page were.

There is a point at which you simply need to observe that your adversary is so throughly discrediting their own position that trying to counter their 'argument' is counterproductive. You just need to say, de gustibus non est disputandum.

There are a lot of IIIpers that identify as "conservatives" too....and hold those same beliefs about their version of living to be the only version.
