Um...when do we get to view the Walmart videos, hear the phone conversation of the deceased, hear all 911 calls?
What is the excuse for not publicly releasing all that evidence?
Would these things have been revealed if indeed they exonerate the behavior of what appears to be lusting-to-kill trigger-happy adrenalin-infused cops?
I remember 25-30 years ago or so watching police take down a guy who was standing in a park shooting at people with a lever gun. The guy was screaming he wanted to kill someone but I wasent sure who. Almost everyone at the park did what scared people do which is either run away or duck behind something. He grazed one of the first officers that arrived but pretty much he was a bad shot. The officers used tact and concealment and got close enough to him to take him down by hand. Only a few officers even drew their weapons. My girlfriend at the time asked one of the officers why they didn't just shoot the guy. He said that while the guy was dangerous, it was their responsibility to protect everyone including the shooter. I had such awe for those officers. They seemed so professional and competent. Today I read the news and from my own experiences with cops and I am pretty much disgusted with them. How far they have fallen.
the article says exactly what i wrote in the comments here the other day. Why was no one screaming and no other calls placed to 9-1-1. You would think the whole store would be in a state of pandemonium. Does the ex-marine have a "hero complex" thing going on? Just waiting for his opportunity in life to save the day? I'm a rough and tumble woman and my husband would never have let me near a guy he thought had a loaded rifle in a store...very strange indeed..
