Obama readies executive action on immigration
President Obama is preparing to announce new measures that would potentially allow millions of illegal immigrants to remain in the United States without fear of deportation, a politically explosive decision that could jolt Washington just weeks before the midterm elections, according to people who have been in touch with the White House.

Hmmm Why is he doing this and why now? Well, perhaps because if the timing is right a declared state of emergency and follow on martial law declaration could allow him to set aside the fall congressional election results (thereby keeping the Dems in control of the Senate while "legitimizing" any/all presidential edicts during the emergency.
So...he see's no choice other than acting on his own? Maybe then we will have no choice but to act on our own...ya think?
Maybe he's got some fast-track to allow all these illegals a vote in the coming election, thereby allowing Dems to stay in office?
Trading votes for citizenship essentially?
Why, to get more dimmocrat voters, that's why!

Remember when I said that the Repugnant Party would die in November after a GOP dominated house passed illegal alien incentives this summer?
Now it looks like the Demonrat Senate majority will die after the President passes his own legislation without congressional approval.
I've totally given up on impeachment, for Obama, Holder, or any other criminal in this administration.
Allowing ebola - infected illegals in would cause mass casualties, and the chaos he desperately needs to declare martial law...
Obama is doing what he's doing because that what his owners told him to do. What might be their motivation?
It's possible that the constant, unrelenting stream (to borrow a phrase from Biden) of incredibly stupid and destructive acts by the Democrats are intended to usher in a Republican majority in Congress this year and a Republican president in 2016.
Note how great crises occur on the cusp of political regimes; September 11 happening at the beginning of the Bush administration and the financial crisis of 2008 straddling the Bush/Obama presidencies.
The effect is to split blame between the parties (it's Clinton's/Bush's/Obama's fault)and allow politically captured individuals the ability to blame the other side while refusing to understand that "there's not a dimes worth of difference between the Democrats and the Republicans."
The increasingly obvious problems of the progressive agenda may soon be apparent to all Americans unless those policies can be interrupted by a transfer of power to Republicans. This will give Democrats the excuse that their plans would have worked if only those evil Tea Partiers hadn't taken over by devious means. By 2008 the bankruptcy of Bush administration policies were similarly evident and the switch to Obama let those with neoconservative tendencies indulge in the illusion that their preferred policies were not an imminent danger to the republic.
If one has any doubt that the game is rigged and that similar destructive policies will be pursued by both parties simply recall the election of 2012. The Obama policies which were probably the most objectionable to those who opposed him were gun control and socialized medicine. And who did the Republican party nominate to oppose Obama? Mitt Romney, whose most notable "achievements" as governor of Massachusetts were to enact a form of socialized medicine and gun control. Doesn't that seem odd? Not if you understand that the particular parties and politicians in power have little to do with how elite powers want to see America develop.
The parties only exist at this point as convenient rallying points for angry Americans to confront each other over matters of little significance while the powers that be continue their long planned destruction of the Founder's vision.
While I think Darren is right in the macro/long-run picture, I think that Obozo is doing what he's doing now for another reason: he's baiting the Pubbies into attempting an impeachment in the House.
Won't go anywhere in the Senate, but just starting the action is what he really wants. Will galvanize the (D) herd. And he needs that desperately in November.

Don't get so carried away with instant voter conspiracies. The illegals promote discord and distractions among Americans. That's results enough alone for most Marxist revolutionaries.
Then there's the chance to funnel large amounts of pre-election (2014 and 2016) cash to Democrat faithful, billed as "care" for Obama's immigrants.
A good flow of immigrants now, perhaps running through 2020, could significantly skew the next census. But that's only if America continues to hold together that long.
And if a pandemic comes through immigration? Obama will blame the Republicans for failing to adequately fund his immigration response, and failing to adequately fund Obamacare.
Republicans? Still stuck in politics as usual mode. Or using slight of hand to hide their complicity with this dangerous game.
"Why is this guy doing this? And why is this guy doing this NOW?"
Well...the answer might be simpler than the previous posters think. Why do dogs lick themselves? Because they can!
"Allowing ebola - infected illegals in would cause mass casualties, and the chaos he desperately needs to declare martial law..."
Martial law by whom? and where? The entire country? So a few hundred thousand soldiers are going to police 3 million 3 percenters and countless more gun owners? Good luck with that.
Thats assumming 100% robotic ordering following by each and every solider.
So again, how exactly is he going to implement martial law? The military probably hates him more than anyone else.
