Collectivist gun grabber tries to figure out why they lost the debate: "Framing the danger of guns as a public health risk will change the debate over gun control."

After Sandy Hook, advocates expected a mighty backlash against legislators standing in the way of common-sense gun laws. But the opposite has happened: Only those legislators supporting stricter gun laws are at risk. The problem is that supporters of new gun restrictions have traditionally approached the issue of gun violence as a political problem to be answered by changing laws. Instead, we need to start looking at guns as a public health problem to be answered by changing minds and habits. Until we change how we frame the debate through our messaging and strategy, the landscape for common-sense gun laws will only become increasingly hostile.

"and prohibits law enforcement from requiring someone to show their gun owner’s license ."

It always amazes me how little the gun banners know about the actual details they speak and write about. Georgia, like almost all of the states, does not require a "license" to own a gun. They do for conceal carry, but no such thing as a gun owner's "license" exists in GA.

Collectivist scheming is endless.

No matter what euphemism they use, their goal has always been confiscation.

The only "common sense gun law" is the Second Amendment to the Constitution, no matter how the progs try to spin it.

And since they are so interested in rotating things...

FWIW, the "health menace" gambit has been tried before, IIRC during the Clinton Administration.

A Milwaukee doctor was among the leaders in putting "the gun menace" onto the agenda of the Nat'l Center for Disease Control (!!).

Fail. Massive fail.

We have guns - they do not.

Those with the guns make the rules.

End of Story!
