"Andrew Cuomo has demonstrated that he has the political power to ram through unconstitutional laws in Albany. What he’s also unwittingly exposed is his complete inability to enforce them."
People defying the law - it's music to my ears. I just KNEW something good would come from the "Safe" act. There's more than one way to kick a tyrant's ass.
Clever of them to keep the compliance rates secret in the law, but it apparently did not help much. Their impotence is visible for all to see.
I believe the exact same sentiment (a big middle finger) is being sent to legislators and the governor in Illinois regarding concealed carry permits. The NRA "deal" is so onerous, expensive, intrusive and complicated that most are just telling them to take their permission slip structure and shove it up their ass.
All across this country people are just ignoring one intolerable act after another. Indeed, enough is enough is taking hold in tangibly measurable ways.
I guess the 3% is more like the 50-70% or so. At least on the refusal to register stage. I am sure when the going gets real tough and blood starts flying, the number will plummet but it may prove to be above 3%.
You want to know something? I used to not care a hoot about people who lived in the northeast because they are so liberal and politically and economically powerful and have brought our country to her knees, bowing to the world. But I must say these strong Patriot gun owners have captured my attention and now I have respect for some in this part of the country. Now I have praise and support for them because of their courageous and principled stand, now I consider them my fellow countrymen and I wish them well! Truly my heart has changed.
My "banned" firearms left the state this weekend. I will never register in NY again ever since they betrayed us to the media for pistol permits. Here's a new catch phrase for America: Dumb as Albany.

In August 1775, George III declared Americans in arms against royal authority to be traitors to the Crown.
That's part of this nation's history. The outcome wasn't quite like Georgie and his Red Coats wanted.
It's my bet the outcome in New York won't be exactly as the governor would like either.

THe difference between todays tyrants and George 3rd is that they are accessible to those they try to enslave for they live next door!
To close for comfort even with bodyguards ...

(deliberately did not use 'III' after 'George' as it is OURs not his :-)
