Don't do us any favors, you treasonous anal sphincter. "McKinney would give ‘deference’ to repeal of gun-control law."

Sen. John P. McKinney, a Republican who helped pass a bipartisan gun-control law after the Newtown school massacre in his district, tells a conservative audience in a video Democrats posted Wednesday that he would not block the law’s hypothetical repeal if elected governor.
McKinney told The Mirror Wednesday that his answer to a hypothetical question about a GOP takeover of the legislature and passage of a repeal bill was not a retreat from his support for the gun-control law.
He said he made clear to the group he would not change his vote, nor would he seek repeal of the law as governor, positions he has staked out at other forums, including a televised debate.

'We The People of New York' just wasted a lot of fucking money on a stupid strategy. Lawsuits that focus on procedural nitpicking have a slim to nil chance of success. If the lawsuit had been a success, it would have only won a very brief reprieve until the New York legislature passed the SAFE act again with careful attention to procedural details. So, even a success would have been a waste of time, effort, and money. The SAFE act should be challenged in Federal court as a violation of 2nd Amendment rights.

This is one of our esteemed CT Legislators trying to ride the wave of anti-gun sentiment to keep his job. The same job he forfeited when he voted for and stood behind a clearly unconstitutional law. Throw the bums out!

"he would not block the law's hypothetical repeal"

wait - he won't actively campaign for it, but he won't do anything to defend it.

Certainly him not actively going for the repeal is bad, but it's not as bad as him actually defending the law...?

Anticitizenone, you are letting him pull the wool over your eyes. Anonymous had it right, the man is simply lying, trying to express just the right sentiment that will harvest the most votes. Once he's in his fine distinction will be forgotten.
