Something more than a little odd going on here.

Officers shot in Greenland given extension by judge to prove connection to gunman’s mother
The ATF has already once refused to release information about the firearm in question after the officers made a request through the Freedom of Information Act.

Cullen, a volunteer fireman, was arrested in 2010 on a domestic violence charge, and the cops discovered steroids at his home while attempting to confiscate his legally registered firearms. My theory is that the ATF tipped the locals with illegally obtained information. Revealing that they were listening to Cullen's mother's phone calls without a warrant would taint any prosecution.

it was a bad SWAT raid, and they need someone to swing for it.

this guy went to the gym religiously, yet they decided to pick him up at home, at o-dark-thirty with a no-knock raid. why?

simple. they had just got a bearcat and wanted to use it. not that it helped much.

Nothing odd going on at all Mike. It's this simple: Four "elite" members of the thin blue line wanted to play commando. One got his ticket punched early. The other three got their collective assess handed to them - all by a disturbed dude with a 357 Mag. The level of butt-hurt these cops are feeling must be damn near crippling.

Hence, the "justice" system is now being used by petty individuals as a tool of harassment and revenge.
