A Sipsey Street Weather Advisory

Like the rest of the country, Al Gore's global warming ain't working out like he said it would. Right now it's 54 degrees and raining in Pinson. The temperature is going to steadily drop until it goes below freezing about midnight and the rain will turn to snow. Of course whatever moisture is on the roads and wires will turn to ice making driving and electricity problematic. The temperature will continue to drop until it is 19 degrees by sunrise but it will never get above 21 degrees during the day. By dawn on Tuesday it will be about 9 degrees. Anyway, I told you that to let you know that the chances of our losing power in that scenario are high and if so, it will be a while until we get it back. We can stay reasonably warm, but with the power goes my connection to the outside world via the blog, so don't panic, you 100 Hundred Heads Life & Casualty Company guys, if you don't hear from me for a while.

Dakota said...: Global Warning .... my aching ass. I am snowed in in Illinois about 50 miles from Chicago. Been snowing for 24 hours and now got so cold it quit snowing and I still can't move. But he was chosen as the running mate of Billy Jeff Clinton as an insurance policy against being removed from office if impeached. Since most of the then serving Senators knew Gore was an idiot and about has intelligent as dryer lint they would not have allowed him anywhere near the oval office. It worked so well that the Kenyan born resident of the White House did the same thing in picking the national blowhard Joe Joe the Monkey boy Biden. Gore is a phony, stupid, self centered and should be brought up on charges of fraud.
