His name is 'Essam' and he's a 29-year-old art school grad from Maine, who served in Iraq as a "geo-spatial analyst", and has put up posters like the one above all over New York. It shows drones being used to police regular people in an Orwellian world... with the NYPD logo plastered all over it, as if to endorse it. The NYPD wants him arrested, he wants to let people know the scariness of drones.

Now this is the kind of graffiti I can get behind and my kind of underground artist! We need more of this purposed people response to the tightening noose of feralgovism so as to awaken the masses and entertain those who know and see.
Essam has warmed the cockles of this old libertarians heart...we need more public awareness in all areas of public suppression.

III% art!
Ask not what your Liberty can do for you, but what you can do with a spray can for your Liberty
I hope there are some like-minded New Yorkers who will protect him if/when the time comes. Sheer genius.
Fake police...fake ad...

Delicious! Not sure what they can arrest him for, though. They could maybe get him on some kind of trademark violation by some weird interpretation, but you don't go to jail for trademark and copyright violations. At worst, I supposed you could get him under some kind of graffiti law for any posters put up without permission. Anyway, I'm sure our good friends at the ACLU will be all over protecting his 1A rights.
The scary part is the fact that they want to arrest him
@Aj: "Anybody who thinks we still have free speech in this country is an idiot and a fool."
The Clash said it best in the song "Know Your Rights"
"Know your rights all 3 of them -
Number 1: You have the right not to be killed
Murder is a CRIME!
Unless it was done by a
Policeman....
...Number 3: You have the right to free speech
As long as
you're not dumb enough to actually try it."

One of the excuses for the ATF raid on the Waco compound of the Branch Davidians (I refuse to use the word "justifications") was that Koresh was alleged to be haveing sexual relations with underage females. This is an abhorent practice to most Americans and is in fact a crime in Texas.
Now ask yourself, why wasn't Koresh arested by the local, county or state law enforcement? When did enforcement of state laws covering statutory rape become the responsibility of ATF?
My point is that Leviathan is out of its cage. It can do anything it wishes to do with anyone at any time unless we stop it. If they want you they will take you. It will be up to your lawyer, your family and your friends to set things right after the fact, if you survive.
Ask Kenneth Trentadue how that worked out for him.
To the comment left by Another Alabama Gun Owner, I agree with you, but I'd also point out that part of what you said is incorrect.
The legal age of consent in Texas was 14 at the time, so Koresh wasn't even breaking any law in the first place.
It's ridiculous how people use this as a justification for then incinerating those underage girls and all the kids, and so hypocritical that this society is ready to burn someone at the stake for what's been common through nearly all of human history.
They see a 28-year-old guy with a 15 or 16 year old girl and it's some horrible crime that you should be burned at the stake for, yet they'll jump all over you for using the term "gay" or "queer." I guess sexual preferences are fine as long as you're gay and not straight.
