John Richardson reports on "An Odd Coincidence."

"What struck me about Caulfield's plans for ATF was how closely it corresponds to the efforts of the current ATF managers - especially the William Newell's and David Voth's - to grab attention for ATF. Some things it seems never change."

You can put lipstick on a pig, but what do you have then?

ATF has NEVER had a good reputation, because they are enforcing un-Constitutional laws. If the laws were just, there wouldn't be any need for a large enforcement apparatus.

My question remains, why would "good men" work for such an agency? Is it some secret what the un-Constitutional political agenda is within ATF? No? Was it a secret twenty years ago? No? The National Firearms act of 1934 is still in force, is it not? Same with the Gun Control Act of 1968? The dirty deed (and legal contradiction) in McClure-Volkmer is still in effect, is it not?

What type of twisted logic does a "good man" have to use to justify continued employment in an agency, the primary function of which is the enforcement of un-constitutional laws, especially after Heller?

Maybe the presumption is wrong. Maybe those who work for ATF don't really disagree with the un-Constitutional agenda. Maybe?

Nahhhh, can't be! It is more comfortable to continue with our logical contradiction, and pretend each abuse is a singular event which happens in a vacuum.
