Mr. Canino, you claim Congress gives you arrest powers, not the ATF. How about you arrest the people behind Fast and Furious? You claim you have all the evidence. You claim your here to do whats right. Without the sanction of Eric Holder and that guy posing as president of The United States, none of this would have happened. How about you prove the truth, honor, and integrity, you are boasting about and arrest the biggest criminals first? Without these two men, all those people would most likely not have been murdered. And you Mr. Canino wouldn't be in the position you are, which to my civilian sensibilities looks like somebody placed in a position to be expendable after they have carried on the lies and coverup of superiors who don't give a rats arse about you, me, all those dead people, and most crucial, the rule of law.
meet the new boss, same as the old boss.....his statements in the article are less than re-assuring for those of us FFL's under the watch of tucson sector
The comments were very revealing (as usual). One commenter in particular (Donell K) apparently is the 'only one' who comprehends the issue because she has seen the results of weapon effects. She believes that the 'only' solution is for total Federal oversight of all weapons. I have a couple of questions for her: how many vehicles are stolen every day, how many of them are smuggled to other countries, how many are use in crimes. I could go on but most on SSI already realize that there are already laws in existence regarding stealing vehicles (just like firearms) - for some reason that does NOT stop the criminals.
Keep up the good fight Mike, it appears that perhaps some baby steps are finally being taken to rein in the abuses of atf in particular and fedzilla in general.
Mike you are probably aware of who Col. Anthony Herbert was,(173rd. Vietnam) Check out his memoir "Soldier" the chapter on the Egyptian Pharaoh`s and their soothsayer`s. You`ll get a charge out of this I promise. Also it will be apparent why I even bring it up.
He is from Puerto Rico and grew up in Boston. Both of those places are not known for protecting the right of the people to keep and bear arms.
He thinks the new long gun reporting requirement is a good idea. Never mind the FACT that F&F, a false flag operation, was used to justify implementing it.
This guy appears to be another typical career ATF dirtbag. Nothing changes.

I'm sure they do. They do it deliberately, diligently, and they do it in spite of the fact that their function violates their oath of office.

Hey! shitforbrains Canino, ATF has NEVER had the trust of the American people!
Quote, "The U.S. Congress gives me the authority to arrest people..." "I can arrest whoever I want to arrest..."
Jeepers, what kind of a really super-duper, first rate, top-notch, good-fuckin-guy says things like that?
This article reveals a very clever damage control effort. Mr. Canino is playing the part of the Good Cop in this drama. As Longbow pointed out, he is not supporting the US Constitution. He is supporting his agency and his higher-ups conduct this damage control exercise. I am not fooled.
This article mentions that form letter for multiple long gun sales in the border states. What's up with that? I remember the initial court ruling didn't go our way but that it was going to be appealed. Any update on that?

Not giving me a warm and fuzzy. Looks like he has become an accessory to delay and cover-up, perfect fit for ATF.

Yeah...
I'm sure that's good news...
But then there are his supervisors and the issue of the actual agency he works for.
Then there's DOJ right in the middle of it all!
But I'm positively effusive!
Meet the new boss....
