Not sure why. Obama's first act as President was to issue an executive order to seal all personal records of presidents (past, present, future) which "might call into question executive privilege."
Since he obviously believes in the omnipotency of the Presidency, why do anything in Congress?

Gunwalker, Solyndra, the ever present demand for proof of eligibility, etc. Maybe they even know that the unConstitutional obamacare/pelosicare will not fare well with the Supremes? They're getting desperate alright. Probably why they sent the SEIU to pump up the otherwise failed Day of Rage against the financial giants. One excuse to attempt to suspend the elections is as good as the other I guess.

Well it ain't to protect the innocent, that's for sure.
Of course they can't get this without republican complicity....
