From Stewart Rhodes: 13 June Oath-Keepers Rally is Cancelled.

Vanderboegh will be polite and have no comment. We still need to support Oath-Keepers in whatever fashion and venue we can.

SOME BAD NEWS:

I just got off the phone with Navy Seal Capt. Larry Bailey (Ret.) of Gathering of Eagles, and he told me that Gathering of Eagles and ProTroopEvents.com, regretfully, have no choice but to cancel the rally scheduled for June 13 on the National Mall in Washington D.C.

Capt. Bailey said that the reason he had to cancel the rally is because the wealthy individuals who had promised considerable funding failed to come through with the necessary funds - in other words, they turned out to be "all hat, no cattle."

This was very frustrating for him because if he had not relied on their word, which he thought was good, he could have tried to raise the needed funds another way - he has done two other rallies on the Mall and it takes a minimum of $75,000.00 to do it right, with a big stage, sound system, and all that goes with it.

We here at Oath Keepers regret that we will not be able to attend that rally as part of our outreach to spread the Oath Keepers message, and this also means we Oath keepers will not be meeting on June 14 (we had planned on an additional meeting the next day).

We hope that not too many of you had already scheduled transportation and rooms. Please pass on this information to anyone you know who had planned on attending.

SOME GOOD NEWS:

Oath Keepers is getting invitations from all over the country to speak at July 4 Tea Parties, and to hold oath ceremonies like we held at the Knoxville Tea Party on April 15 and at Lexington on April 19.

We will post announcements about those Oath Keepers speeches and oath ceremonies at July 4 Tea Parties just as soon as they are 100% confirmed (and once we are absolutely positive they are going forward).

Better to find out those folks are "all hat and no cattle" now rather than later, when the consequences go up a notch or three.

Sorry about the let-down but is there any sort of ceremony set up for Oregon? I know, Oregon is a liberal bastion but it would be nice if we could make a proper showing in the belly of the beast.

Anon, you got that right. Capt. Bailey is a good man who trusted other men at their word, only to have them flake big time. Talk about Sunshine patriots - they couldn't even part with some of their millions of FRN's.

Olfart, if you have any "Tea Party" events scheduled in Oregon, why not make an Oath Keepers oath ceremony part of that, if you can, or at the least attend 4th of July events with an Oath Keepers sign and/or banner and hand out some home made fliers? Email me at stewart.rhodes@gmail.com and I can send you a brochure you can print up and any artwork you need for a banner.

We Oath Keepers plan on attending as many July 4 events as we possibly can to spread the word, and to remind folks that the Declaration of Independence was not just about independence, but also about a timeless statement of the principles of liberty and the right of the people to revolution in the final recourse.

Thank you sir! We now have no less than five possible July 4 events that have asked for an Oath Keepers speaker to conduct an oath ceremony. As soon as they are all confirmed, We'll post the info at oath-keepers.blogspot.com
