Collectivist Chump Cuomo to Catholics: You’re Not Welcome in NY. "Who are we? We're the armed citizens who are going to bury you and you're whole damned dictatorship of the proletariat if you keep pushing us."

My thanks to J3 who forwarded this link along with the comment -- "Here’s what Cuomo said this past Friday on “The Capital Pressroom,” an Albany radio talk show, about a large segment of NY voters:"
You’re seeing that play out in New York. … The Republican Party candidates are running against the SAFE Act — it was voted for by moderate Republicans who run the Senate! Their problem is not me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves. Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right to life, pro-assault weapons, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York because that’s not who New Yorkers are.
The article continues: "Chicago’s Cardinal Francis George has predicted that he will die in his bed, his successor will die in prison, and his successor will die a martyr. We may not be quite there yet. But unless Church leaders and others act quickly and forcefully, Catholics and others of traditional moral views may find themselves not simply marginalized, but – if some politicians have their way – facing something very like exile in their own nation."
Another New Yorker Three Percenter forwarded me this article along with the observation:

"Who are we? Why we're the armed citizens who are going to bury you and you're whole damned dictatorship of the proletariat if you keep pushing us."

Happy birthday, Matt.

Today is the thirty-fifth birthday of my son, SGT Matthew Bradley Vanderboegh, United States Army. Seems impossible. Proud of you, son., Have a great birthday.

Bob Owens: 2014 SHOT Show shatters attendance records

"Perhaps this is why the citizen control zealots are so shrill and angry. American gun owners are a fast-growing breed, while the number of anti-gun forces are in marked decline. They are part of a dying breed, even if they currently hold sway in several prominent states. In the end, its a numbers game, and they are losing."
I've never been to SHOT and I'm sorry I was once again unable to go. Although I had invitations of a free place to stay, I simply couldn't justify the expense of getting out there -- which is an easy enough decision when you have to husband slender resources. It would have been a selfish expenditure on my part that would have interfered with the Toys for Totalitarians and the smuggling campaigns. That and the fact that Rosey would have rebelled over health considerations never made it likely. Still, maybe one day . . .
In the mean time, keep those standard capacity magazines coming in, folks. We have more antis' noses to tweak with the unserviceable ones and more laws to break with the serviceable ones we put in the hands of modern day Sons of Liberty.

Oregon gun group says senator ‘lying’ about ‘registration’ bill

Oregon’s Senate Judiciary Committee began work Friday on a draft bill concerning background checks on private firearms transfers, and backers of the proposed legislation are lying when they claim it is not a gun registration bill, Oregon Firearms Federation charged yesterday in a member alert.

Naming ATF Headquarters After Eliot Ness Might Actually Be Appropriate

To summarize, Ness didn't get his man, he had questionable morals, he probably was an alcoholic, he covered up a crime, he couldn't manage his money, and he was prone to wild exaggeration about his accomplishments. When you look at that summary of Ness' life and career, who better to represent the modern day ATF?

A number of ironies here. Chief among them is the "No Open Carry" sign.

No surprise here. “I would love to put a bullet in his head.” The Digital Stasi resent Mr. Snowden enough to kill him.

America’s Spies Want Edward Snowden Dead
Edward Snowden has made some dangerous enemies. As the American intelligence community struggles to contain the public damage done by the former National Security Agency contractor’s revelations of mass domestic spying, intelligence operators have continued to seethe in very personal terms against the 30-year-old whistle-blower.
“In a world where I would not be restricted from killing an American, I personally would go and kill him myself,” a current NSA analyst told BuzzFeed. “A lot of people share this sentiment.”
“I would love to put a bullet in his head,” one Pentagon official, a former special forces officer, said bluntly. “I do not take pleasure in taking another human beings life, having to do it in uniform, but he is single-handedly the greatest traitor in American history.”

Eric Holder’s Billion Dollar Extortion Scheme.

Eric Holder’s idea of implementing justice is to shake down banks on trumped up charges based on vague statistics and leftist theories. Holder’s Department of Justice recently leveled a $100 million fine against Ally Bank for “racist” lending practices without a shred of evidence. And Ally’s not the only victim of Obama/Holder Inc.’s protection racket. Apparently, the post-racial presidency of Barack Obama has decided to extort almost a billion dollars from capitalist institutions under the unjustified pretense of ‘race-based’ predatory lending.

In Reversal, FBI Now Emphasizes Role in Law Enforcement
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has decided to revise a controversial fact sheet that declared its primary mission to be "national security," following criticism that the agency seemed to be moving away from its longstanding role as the nation's preeminent law enforcement agency.
The change emphasizes that stopping terrorism and battling more conventional domestic criminal activity are both "primary functions" of the FBI. The lightning-fast revision should dispel any notion that large bureaucratic organizations can only operate at a snail's pace: The fact sheet was updated less than 48 hours after a report on it in Foreign Policy went viral last week. An FBI official confirmed that the change was a direct result of the article. . .
"That has to be some kind of a record," said Kel McClanahan, a Washington-based attorney who alerted FP to the original fact sheet revisions. "Doing this so quickly and so obviously cover your ass-y seems beneath them."
Now that's where he's wrong. In my experience absolutely NOTHING is beneath the secret political police of the FBI. The mass immolation of the Davidians proved that.

MAIG removes members list from website after Bloomberg embarrassment exposed

Kurt Hofmann: Missouri's '2nd Amendment Preservation Act' should have better chance this year

The states, of course, must trump unconstitutional federal laws, and those federal laws that violate both the Second and Tenth Amendments are certainly that--but acknowledging that would be impossible for someone whose entire career is a left wing Democrat attempt to go federal leviathan crazy.

Local opposition stymies NY SAFE Act gun law

There has been a mostly quiet refusal of county and local officials to implement and enforce the onerous provisions of the NY State gun law rushed through the state legislature in almost comical fashion after the Newtown, CT, school shooting. . . But what has slowed the law the most was an upstate insurrection, where almost every county legislature declared its opposition, and many clerks and local police simply ignored the law. Local Sheriff groups have come out against the law as have police unions.

Mississippi introduces protection against gun confiscation bill

A bill intended to prohibit the governor and other officials of the state, counties and municipalities from interfering with the right of citizens to possess firearms was introduced Thursday in the Mississippi legislature. House Bill No. 314 would also provide a complaint procedure to challenge ordinances in violation of that right and to restrict county and municipal programs to purchase weapons from citizens.
